One World Rugby Season for domestic and international games?

I guess the money men will help move this idea along

I reckon this'd be a belting idea, possibly opening up the options for inter-hemisphere club competitions as well. Once Sky/ESPN and the rest work out the numbers I can't really see the Unions resisting this idea, especially with the collaboration of the private moneymen owners like Craig!

So season running from Feb-Aug for club/Super rugby and Sept-Dec for Internationals? I can't see it working. The NH teams wont want to play in summer and it's too hot to hold rugby in summer in SH. Plus the French Top 14 runs about 11 months as it is so they aren't going to want to change things.

The 6 nations is the best annual comp in the world viewing figures wise, attendance wise, so you have to assume that ain't moving at all. Rugby quality wise I prefer the 3/4N but I'd still say the 6N is the best tourney.

Which means things will need to move to suit the 6N. so that means 3/4N in feb/march each year.

It ain't gonna happen.

I like how things are now. I get to see more rugby because the seasons aren't in step with each other.
