Didnt the Friends of Warringah pay Harvey to be their recruiter / ambassador last year? That was money well spent.
I see Luke Holmes is now the new CEO and they have some good colties on board too.

Crashy i hope they picked them up from Newport. Dont want BOBs to end up in Div 3 with 2 teams getting punted from Div 2!

Good to see Maile Latukefu back at the Two Blues. Maile was one of the best loose forwards in the Shute Shield in 2011 and 2012 but got ruined by inept injury management in the 'Tahs Academy where it took 9 months to repair a grade 1 hammy tear. He's lost some size but is looking fit. Hopefully Dan Yakopo will be back from Italy before the start of the season. His brother, Sam, who has promised so much but has been plagued by injury, is looking fit, fast and bigger. The Two Blues backline will be very quick. As usual in pre season, players seem to wander in off Woodville Road and ask if they can train and play. A few questions later and its discovered they played for Samoa/Tonga/NPC and they are someone's cousin. If you are ever in Merrylands on a Tuesday or Thursday around 7pm (its ok drive by shootings are only on Fridays and Saturdays) call in and watch the whole club, including the women, train together. Something very special is building at Parra.

Shaun Treweek is a great pick-up for Manly. Norths seem to have lost blokes left, right and centre - what's going on there? Randwick seem to have recruited heavily - be interesting to see the results.
Bring on the footy season!

Randwick have lost quite a few also if all the rumours are to be believed.

Each year we lose a few dual code lads from School 1st XV's into <insert car manufacturers name> Cup (Under 20's ) in the hope of picking up a NRL Contract at the end of their time in the U20's.

Many lads do not make it to the NRL. Some return to Rugby. Are there any of the Class of 2011/12 that are returning to Heavensgame after a year or two in the Wilderness?

I've heard unconfirmed rumours about one former Aust Schoolboy returning to the fold. No names yet until I have this confirmed.

Who fucking cares?
Let them earn their stripes in the SS.
Plenty of Oz Schoolboy stars never convert to mens footy, even when they stay in the game.
Why get excited about the return of failures of another code?

News letter received yesterdays suggest Manly have some returning from the Dark Side to their colts program.

Will Paterson (2013 Bunnies Under 20's) to Easts I believe - no doubt there are others. In reality, it's probably not a bad thing and if anything would speed their development up, having spent a season or two in a professional environment.

Rumour spreading round that Dave Harvey trained on Tuesday night.............................at West Harbour.

This bloke must have a massive wardrobe for all those tracksuits

Do not know the guy at all. Just don't understand how certain keyboard warriors need to continue to criticize a pattern of behaviour that we would all condone if the culprit was your son. Maximise earnings whilst you can and hopefully have a Plan B.

As well as a plan C, D, E and F ;)
I'd like to meet with him as I reckon he'd know the best routes to all the Sydney grounds.
Seriously though, he'll win a few games for Wests with his boot as long as they have someone to cover for him in defence. His boot beat the Wicks twice last year when playing for Warringah.

While I have not been part of having a go at Harvey, I have seen the lighter side of the digs at his nomadic lifestyle.

But for the record, I would be calling my son out as a fool if he was to sabotage his dream this way. His pattern of behaviour is ridiculously short sighted and it is this that has cost him higher honours.

Rugby is a skill that has to be honed, trained and worked for. By chopping and changing clubs at almost every opportunity he has had no consistency of coaching, patterns, strategies or even skill development. Every coach and program is different and Club Culture plays a phenominal part in player development.

Dave has wasted his talent by never focusing beyond 1 season. I wish him all the best and suggest that if he has the patience to develop his skills rather than chase the very limited Club dollar he will make it to the higher level. I just hope a player of his talent hasn't waited too long to get the message.
