what sites would you recommend for an in-depth analysis of scrummaging post-match from someone that has actually played frontrow but doesn't have to be an international. most of the smartest imo of rugby and league pundits haven't played internationally or even for their state.
anyone, thanks, mark
was trying to post on 'Rugby Discussion' but apparently i do not have enough privileges

Hey mate, thanks for bringing up an issue that's left over from years ago. We used to have a suggested thread sub-forum that users with less than 250 posts had to post in for approval before posting in the main forum. It was to stop too many threads from being posted in the main forum. It's been gone for years. I've amended the policy to allow members with 10 posts to post new threads in the forum.

There are none (as far as I'm aware)

Does it matter?

What are you actually looking for? A technical explanation of who and who isn't a good scrummager? Or a technical explanation of why one team gets penalised?

the srummaging is a major reason for me watching union. league died last century and i stopped watching it.
yes i would love a pundit or two to analyse every scrum of a match. cut the place kicks, conversions & penalities, if needs be
yes it does matter for my viewing pleasure

Fair enough.

By "does it matter?" What I meant was, does it matter "that has actually played frontrow"

I was trying to understand if you want to understand who is dominating who in the scrum, or understand why refs have penalised one side or the other? They are two different things

Sounds like an interesting niche for a youtube creator.
The big issue will be access to decent footage.

On the weekend the producer gave us almost nothing but overhead shots and then wide angles, and barely replayed a penalty/free kick.

Couldn't see what was happening a lot of the time, other than some of the most egregious feeding of the second row I've ever seenn
