good summary.

BBC looked over-confident & lazy.Every time they got out to a big lead they took foot off the pedal.Forwars tackiling was poor,lineout again poor and backs looked like they were playing 7s rugby. How many tries did Conrad Quick "butcher" by not passing?.Numbers 10,and 4 for IGS were brilliant.
Speaking of BRILLIANT -did josh Bowen-Boyer get 3 or 4 tries.? I do know that at 24-10 Bowen had scored every BBC point!.He will be missed by all GPS rugby followeres -what an exciting ball runner.Why is QRU letting him go to Broncos??
Speaking to Tom Barker afterwards he said the first try by Josh was up there with anything he had seen from any schoolboy-Flately,Q Cooper,K Hunt ,Pocock-etc.Even the IGS coaches were applauding.Someone put it on U-Tube.He caught a kick in his own 22 swereved past 3 defenders without a finger laid on him-kicked over fullbacks head-jumped up over IGS fullback and caught the ball in one hand mid-air(aussie rules style) and raced away to score balancing the ball in one hand..An IGS parent said they knew not to kick to him but were powerless to stop it.
BBC will not get near TSS playing like that.I guess it depends which BBC turns up.The team that beat ACGS or the bumbling mob that lost to GT.

footnote-that BBC 15A team is shit-hot .I think Phil White and David Williams (former Red) have them playing a more structured game than the 1sts.If the QRU does not snap up Syd Smith (Aust 15 league captain) they are fools because the Broncos watched him on Saturday/.

BBC will have to play the perfect game if they are to upset TSS this Sat.

Otherwise, I expect same score as pre-season trial game 55-3

Boyer was outstanding and scored plenty.
Quick may have backed himself on a few times & the result was not perfect every time.
Defence wise i saw the bbc 9 save 3 certain tries one was in george gregan fashion..Ippy no8 went the blind side thinking he could run over the bbc 9 only to be meet very low and rolled on his back over the side line.looked like Steve Irwin on the back of a 4m salty the size difference was that big between the two of them.

Big day of rugby at BBC on Saturday:
1) 1st xv-who will be outright 2nd- BBC or TSS?;
2) 2nd xv-will TSS come equal 1st or will BBC come outright 2nd?;
3)15A -will BBC remain undefeated?

Congrats to Nudgee-deserved winners.Winning at Southport on Old boys day after being thrashed by ACGS was extraordinary.

The U15A coaches are Phil White coaching forwards and Greg Towers coaching backs, not sure where you got David Williams from...

I'd say BBC to take the lead early like they do most of the time, coming out hard and focused in the backs especially, then TSS to punch back quite rapidly evening it up, stay some what tied pretty much all game, and whoever wins, its by 5.

Pre-season match was a shocka for BBC going down to TSS 47-8 actually taipan. But with 3 injuries in that game, 4 players who are currently playing seconds and 3 who are in the 16s, a new BBC team will come out to shock the boys from the surf.

Should be packed, as it is somewhat the 'grandfinal' of TSS and BBC's season.

From memory BBC went down to Nudgee by 11, but it was 4 with two minutes to go: if a BBC pass in their own had stuck they may have won, instead Nudgee intercepted, scored and converted. How often does one pass or one kick change a whole season!- gotta love rugby.

If I was you I would look back at the first round. How many did TSS but on GT and then look at the BBC v GT score. Don't rule out anything! I'm actually tipping BBC but still don't speak to quickly

"For the second year in a row, Nudgee College contested the GPS premiership on the historical graveyard of hundreds of schoolboy XVs – their home field of Ross Oval. 2012 saw the Nudgee favourites trumped in an upset, but there would be no chance in hell the Nudgee team would allow another robbery to occur in 2013. Nudgee mercilessly cut down a down-on-their-luck Toowoomba side to seize the College’s 40th GPS Premiership in a comprehensive victory."

Just to want to thank Dark Shark, Sam Hauser, and Digby for their help writing this week, it's much appreciated.

Noticed that Angus Scott-Young (ACGS #5) was once again referred to as Sam, his father.

dear Matty
It is a merit selection team -so they rotate captains as I understand.Smith & Ponga(an x factor for next year) and Len Ikatau BBC 15 A fullback are all in it.

I hear Smith broke his collarbone playing for Broncos feeder team on Sunday and will not play Saturday as BBC 15 A play for an undefeated season.

This is exactly ! what Bowen-Boyer did against IGS on Saturday except this time he was right over the head of the IGS fulback.(aussie rules leap) Great work /picture by the King.Rather uncanny actually.

Can the G&G Rugby Community mount a serious cause to get Brisbane and Sydney First XV Match of the Rounds shown on either Free to air or Foxtel?

I was watching College Football from the US the other day (20,000 at the game and millions watching on TV) and I was speaking to a mate of mine who coaches in the land of the long-white, who said TV coverage of Schoolboy rugby is well watched over there.

Why not here?

Surely this is part of our Rugby Community supporting and celebrating the best young players in the game - Not only that I prefer to watch the First XV games than Premier Grade. Far more entertaining and skillful.

Isn't the watch-ability of our game an on-going issue for the ARU??

How do we give this some momentum?

We should have more matches being streamed next year. Early stages of planning only but it's certainly something I'm targetting.

The GAGR community will be the first to know of any developments.
