Will be interesting to see how many scholarship kids are approved for Nudgee this year?? They’ve picked up another centre in Prestyn Laine-Sietu who is predominately a league player but played very well in the U15’s Emerging Reds Cup in 2021 so a possible centre combination with Toia will be very formidable. The rugby program at Nudgee is second to none and other GPS schools would be salivating at the amount of resources Nudgee have compared to the rest and it is what attracts these good schoolboy athletes to the school as well as a half-decent education - plus the success and history of Nudgee rugby.

Pretty sure that’s a fact. Heard they were considered him at 12 too. Big ball runner in the midfield would give them go forward, probably won’t happen though.
It definitely won’t happen this season due to PJ’s long term injury …. I doubt in Year 12 / 2023 (possible 1st XV captain) GT will play him out of position but you never know

Think it was thinking for this year only. 2023 will have a few of the GT strong 2021 U14 team eligible for 1st XV so they will move up.

Agreed,they will be bottom 3 this year,they played no big teams last year ,so they looked ok

They played Churchie and lost by only 2 points. Churchie placed 3rd and Terrace 4th. They got rolled by TSS in round 9 but TSS and Nudgee were just a class above everyone else last season. Nudgee and TSS were 1st and 2nd respectively.

I noticed there were a few BBC 1st players from last year playing colts at South’s over the weekend. Has the BBC/Wests love affair ended? What’s happening with college? Where’s the raging spud? Going to be a boring forum without some good BBC banter.

Wests and BBC has been a funny relationship for years. Never really got real tight.

Now that Toutai Kefu is director of rugby at Souths he has opportunity to funnel the BBC lads to Souths. Coupled with his brother Steve (BBC coach)
Darren Rees (BBC Dad, coach, Ref) is also now at Souths with Todd Dammers so there is plenty of influence on the young lads to head toChipsy Wood Oval.

wow -So BBC got 8 in the Jnr wallabies . 3 of whom played last year( Zac H,Taj and Jarrod H) & they still did not win a premiership in 2021. Just shows you a star team will beat .....a team of stars.To be fair only Hough played against Nudgee and he went off at haf -
time.
I hear they only have 3 back from that team this year and a 16 A team that was average. so 2022 is a building year I suspect..

And if Grey was serious he would have a ninth. Hooker Jake Tierney also warrants consideration.

Yes I saw Prestyn at a RL carnival and he is a super athlete. Also Rob Toia is huge and will destroy some teams this year.
Nudgee 1st by a fair way- the depth is the best I have seen a decade. !6As were undefeated last year and only 3 look like playing in 1sts.;
ACGS 2nd if they kept those NZ boys from last year.
Then a long long way back to 3rd.

A new palyer to watch from the U15's ERC queensland team 2021 will be Kody Perry from Mackay he has just started grade 11 at BGS on scollarship.
