QLD Premier Rugby 2020

Norths got the win 31-28 I THINK with some good tries to some very handy wingers. Souths struggled a bit in the line out but were dominant in the scrums.

Anyone know where Carter is with regard to his injury recovery and playing?

UQ have now got the fella that was behind Carter at Wests last year . He played nearly a full game at 10 against GPS and controlled the game quite well and his kicking in general play was very good. Came to UQ for a chance to play 10, maybe he could have stayed at Wests?
I heard at the UQ game on Saturday that UQ tried hard to get him to move across. James Dalgleish is off to Scotland so the 10 jersey is up for grabs. The starting 10 injured his knee in the match but Stewart was starting at 15. I’d imagine he’ll be starting in an Australian Club Championship game on the weekend. It looks like a savvy move for him at this stage.

Easts looked very good on the weekend. Although they lost their starting inside center - can't think of his name right now - very early on. My mail is that he was a gun and will be surely missed.

Easts pack will be very very good, good experienced players without being too old with Sanday, Mowen and Gunn, possibly get Wright back for the finals depending on international duties. Scary.

Jengala Bennet is back in rugby union!? That’s great news, I imagine he has been in touch with Gilmlore.

George Fai is an interesting sign gong, he is a massive unit, not sure where they will play him.

Moli is still playing? I would have thought he would give it away by now with his history of head knocks.

I say this with the deepest of concern for the young man.

Jasper Mellish straight from school into the Premier squad. He's an impressive youngster, should develop nicely.

Mate, there are some great blokes in the lower grades at Souths and I am fairly sure that 4th or 5th grad have won 5 straight premierships. Souths are always fairly competitive in lower grades. As well as a very healthy culture.

Certainly are. Tui Tulili and Rowdy in charge of the 4ths are just a few of the great club people at Souths.

That’s two r’s as in Garry.

But jokes aside I think tribe scribes need to understand that there are blokes who are where they are for different reasons

And that’s totally fine . If someone wants to pursue an opportunity it doesn’t necessarily follow that they are a dickhead.

Conversely, those that spend a lot of years at one Club also doesn’t mean that they are ready to be canonised.

"...those that spend a lot of years at one Club also doesn’t mean that they are ready to be canonised." No truer words have been spoken.
