Brumbies beat the Chiefs and Blues beat the Crusaders then the Brumbies host the GF. Maybe then Canberra might get behind this team.

Not so. The free kick isn't taken until the ball is moved by the foot. In fact, all the Canes players who raced up from the line should have been pinged for off side.
The Canes were so offside all game youd be forgiven for thinking they were playing to a game on another field.

It was nice to see an actual gameplan, targeting certain opponent weaknesses rather than just naively spinning the ball out wide aimlessly all game like old Teflon Les and his boys dished up last night

I understand, however the execution in this instance seemed to open up a bit of risk regarding the interpretation and application of that law - including whether the opposition were offside at the point the ball had ‘clearly left the mark’.

Thankfully it had no impact, but that was just my immediate reaction without having rewatched, and with no tighter shot having been broadcast.

Great to see the Brumbies go through. I think it would have been tough to see both Aussie teams go out first week based on the improved performance of our teams over the season. We got a pretty good go from the ref as well.

Valetini was immense.
