not sure that’s the case with Tom Robinson. But he’s clearly a natural leader.
But this is clearly just a trial. Not a ‘first class match’. So very experimental
Lol, you’re very right - brain fart had me thinking it was ex-Blues flanker Tom Robinson.

I suspect JTA (Jeffery Toomaga-Allen) might have some pull when he gets on

He has been hit in the helmet a number of times. I remember him getting concussed from a heading a soccer ball in a warmup. Some of the concussions upon review, weren't actually concussions. They were symptoms of anxiety. I'm not saying he shouldn't have retired, mainly because everyone knew he couldn't play the short ball, but he was definitely in his own head with it.
This is a thing. Supposedly more than 4 of the pommy team that won the WC back in the day got early-onset dementia from it.

Admittedly the synthetic soccer balls used these days are lighter ... but the old leather balls, if waterlogged and arriving at speed, were like heading a brick.

I think they've outlawed heading the ball now in England for junior soccer.

I was surprised when my 8 year old grand son said he was allowed to head the ball. He laughed when I said it could cause brain damage.
