Australia U20 has suffered two injury setbacks with prop Nick Hill and centre Boston Fakafanua sidelined for the remainder of the tournament.

Jonah Rangiwai from the Queensland Reds has been flown in to replace Hill, while the replacement for Fakafanua will be confirmed in the coming days.

Martens should provide better service to the backs than Sharples did last game. Yet to be convinced Dillon is the answer at 10; bit of a slow tugboat and his kicks in general play have a low trajectory and are often charged down. Enasio should add some starch and go forward in the midfield but we'll still likely be hamstrung by our 13 and 15 being undersized.

Not sure if Tom Robinson was up to scratch last game too. Seemed to miss a few too many tackles especially for a No 7.

Good win but still scrappy. Scotland gave away 14 penalties. Most of which were inside their own 22. No idea how the ref didn't card them. Didn't even realise we had a card until he came back on. Not even sure what it was for.

The disallowed try at the end. The amount of kiwi teams that do that and get away with it. Picking the ball up behind them in the ruck and running through. Hell of a pick up by the tmo

Solid effort from the Junior Wallabies in insane heat in Viadana. Fair play to Scotland, a masterclass in slowing the play, going down injured to soak up time, and picking their moments to win key turnover penalties.

James Martens was terrific, best on field. Eli Langi and Robinson went all day. Eamon Doyle at captain is a supafreak. Another 80min shift full of hard grind when it mattered. No wonder they don’t replace him. Also a big effort from Lipina Ata for the big fella to go 70mins. Aus scrum, lineout and maul all pretty good. Should have won by more but they will be happy with the win.

Not a performance to keep the sad haters on here happy, but the Junior Wallabies certainly stuck at it. Martens was easily the best player on the park. Very frustrating ref, wanted a slow game and it certainly did not suit us. Thought the forwards were great. Backs got very lost in defence again and Grover kept it together. Ata, both Langi’s and Robinson good. Doyle was Doyle, just a cut above in all aspects. England lost to SA without any bonus points so will come all guns blazing for our boys on Wednesday.
