Different ball, different style of kicking, they seem to favour a more accurate style over length. Latham, for example, had a huge torp, but players these days seem to prefer not to use a torp as it is difficult to kick an accurate torpedo.
Regarding the game, was out for family stuff and missed it, then only caught bits and pieces in the replay. Funnily enough, in those bits and pieces the Force seemed dominant and Reds error prone, so by the sounds of it they were microcosms for the whole game.
Well deserved win to the Force then. They had deserved a win so far, and their inconsistency had cost them. Congratulations Force fans, just a shame that it came when it did! Hopefully the Force continue to upset some more teams this season.
For the Reds, hopefully it gets better when Horwill, Digby, Shipperley and A. Finger are all back. As has been mentioned, we have to admit that the Reds are not the team of 2011 and do not have the depth as hoped. The Reds are a long way off the pace right now, which the Brumbies are so beautifully setting.
BTW, my understanding that Graham's primary influence at the Reds is defence. Graham has been the defensive coach of other teams, so it's not a first for him. I think most Reds fans would have preferred Tattsy Taylor's defensive work, but unfortunately not all things last.
