For those like me (utterly and incurably obsessed with the RG<>Link change saga), there's a wonderful side spat been going on with Spiro Z politely but forcibly accusing J Eales of all manner of lacking independence in his recent columns on this subject and, more generally, matters that touch upon the ARU's world (given that JE is an ARU board member and does not declare this under his AFR/Fairfax columns).

Today, JE has responded. Below. (I do find it interesting that he's confirmed that Chris White on the QRU Board has in fact been informally advising RG on the move and his contractual matters which, in a governance sense, is unusual as manifestly the QRU and RG may have had opposing contractual interests at various points in the negotiations.)
