Not at all was it straight forward. You have said that Kaplan was very good and communicated his decisions well. In this instance he didn't say 'it was for trippig' he said something like 'you slung him over your leg, it was dangerous'.

Not saying the decision was incorrect, just not as straight forward as you think.

It looked like a normal tackle but Cooper lost his grip on the jersey - so it ended up a trip. Not intentional, but still worth a penalty.
