No doubt Australia's matches will have their own thread(s) so thought I'd start one for those between the "also participated" teams :)

16 August Argentina v NZ, Cordoba

23 August Argentina v NZ, Buenos Aires

6 September NZ v SA, Eden Park

13 September NZ v SA, Wellington

27 September SA v Argentina, Durban

4 October Argentina v SA, Twickenham

"The Eden Park record will be fine, the Springboks
will send their B-team down to NZ, just like France did....."

Hopefully the Boks don’t fuck around with their mix too much and we get a good gauge on where we’re at.
Good to see LF back in NPC. Expect he will make an impact at 13 and come into the mix for the northern tour.

RC squad naming is on 4/08. LF will have played a game by then & we know Razor's a fan...
He‘s a big fan for sure, but I think Robertson will resist the temptation to fast track him back, unless a run of injuries dictate. Even then the crusader bias claims will ring loud and clear.

I‘d have the old LF over ALB any day of the week and I expect 2 years at 13 in a tough comp has further improved his game. Still needs a good stint in NPC to prove his worth tho.

Turns out LF is ineligible/ would need an NZR Board exemption:

Seems a bit petty to me...
I genuinely thought once he played NPC he became available. Maybe it is because the team is named before NPC starts, so after he played he can come in as injury replacement. I know thst TJ had to play after his return from Japan etc. I not sure how LF will go, he looked shit hot on attack in acouple of games I saw on tv in France, but his defence looked optional to say the least. He looked a bit like Akira Ioane at times in that he didn't look interested in trying to tackle .

Tell you who is becoming almost first pick in forwards if I heard right last night. Parsons was saying Holland hit 52 rucks in 3rd test 40 odd on attack and rest in defence, and was first or second to them in all but about 5. That is phenomenal figure. Kirifi had same. They are almost unheard of figures, and says a lot about the heart they play with. I actually commented to son at second test, how at end of game, I noticed that Holland was still jogging up for kick off etc at end of game.

If he's been performing well at centre in the Top 14 then just slot him straight into the squad for ALB or a winger. Bullying semi-pros/development players in the NPC isn't going to tell you anything insightful. Hardly like he'll be lacking match fitness either.

I didn't think he even had to play, just be signed for the next Super Rugby season. But maybe the TJP thing changed that?
