Don't hate it at all, just a bit weird after seeing zero minutes all Lions series including in the warm ups.
Keeps Dono with the bench unit so from that sense keeps a lot of continuity.
Sounds like Valetini won't make it though.

Fast sell outs against Ireland and New Zealand last year seem to have left them a bit greedy, expecting they could jack the prices up this year. I think they have since released cheaper seats, but the initial high prices have scared a lot people off.

Valetini should be right to go for the next test at least. Minus Lynagh we actually should just have the same team from the Sydney which is pretty good.

Oddly enough, in the cauldron of Ellis Park he's probably the safest option sans Lolesio to just do what a 10 is supposed to do there. I'd have picked Lynagh to do it if he was available, but he's not, so cometh the man, cometh the hour. Hell of a story if he can someone get off the paddock with a lead.

If so, it makes a compelling case for Declan Meredith to be in the squad and probably vying for a spot in the XXIII. Twelve games for the Brumbies this year, including 4 starts, for 8 wins and 4 losses. Overall in the past 3 years, 23 games for 17 wins. Who else even comes near those stats? On an individual basis, scored 3 tries, 2 penalty goals and 8 conversions for a total points of 37.

Meredith is probably one more good year from being included in Wallabies squads. If he runs it and they maintain the wins he will get a look in. He probably suffers from being judged as keeping Noah's seat warm over the last couple of years when he got in.
