This result will likely result in the necessary momentum particularly financially to see a 2nd Concepcion based squad enter SRA after the 2027 RWC.Who knows what's going on at the administrative level, but I'm guessing it's not great.
Rugby in South America has got much stronger too due to Super Rugby Americas. Chile's team is essentially fully professional and together year round. So what they lose to a team like Samoa in talent and athleticism is less than it was in year's gone by, and they have decent core skills and really high cohesion as a team.
