It's not their program,it's the way pro players are helicoptered in to win the GF after never playing a round game that should be stopped.
Had KB (Kurtley Beale) had manufactured a win for the Wicks yesterday the Marlins would have rightly been spitting chips.
It is absurd that playing in a pro comp for the season, qualifies a player for a different and ostensibly amateur comp.

If Wicks won - Sydney Uni wold have been eliminated.

So much for my bold predictions. hmmmm.

Something something Champion Team something Team of Champions.

Once again The Hobbits thrash The Corporation with a penalty kick after the siren. It is becoming a bit of a habit.

Not sure what the Camperdown Crew were trying to do with some of their selections. Were they taking the piss with their team list or just too consumed with trying to beat the points system and getting as many of their paratroopers on the field as possible. Might have been a cunning plan when it was dreamed up at training on Tuesday night or over a cup of coffee on Wednesday morning, but it didn't work. Latu was pretty ordinary, and Ryan not much better.

What happened at Oranges? Coolican came off, Latu shuffled in one and Ryan came on after being tuckered out playing in 2nd Grade. The Corporation went to crap. Has Suzy the Waitress been engaged by Southern Districts Rugby Catering Limited to provide water to the teams? :)

How long did Paddy Ryan play for in the 2nd Grade match? He wasn't on the published starting list, and a couple of Gaggerlanders smelt a rat and called the fix early. I've always maintained that to obtain zero Player Points for a reserve, they must have had to play the majority of the previous fixture, at the very least it should be more than 1/2 that game.

Credit to the Hobbits for not being overawed by their Star Studded opponents and for having the belief and confidence to win the fixture.

This victory by the lads from the Shire is probably the worst possible outcome for the Woodies. They have been been run down by The Hobbits twice this year in thrilling matches. Next weeks match between these two should be an absolute cracker.

Unless my old brain is even more confused than usual, the two games between the Woodies and Southern Districts were split, we won at home after the bell.

I think.

Incidentally, it is a delicious irony that Southern kicked these wonderful pressure kicks, maybe the Waratahs kicking coach can learn something to impart to Bernard Foley!

I stand corrected @Wamberal.

Round 10 Eastwood 42 Southern Districts 41
Round 12 Southern Districts 25 Eastwood 24

Both games were won with "come from behind" surges, and one, if not both, were won with a kick after the siren. IIRC, the TG Millner game was decided by a well orchestrated drop goal from Ayoub, well after the siren.

I wasn't at the ground but the 7TWO commentator said he played "a few minutes" in 2nd grade.

So ,many guys with beards its hard to tell, but I had him on at least 15 minutes in reserve grade as he was up against young Alex Isoefa who held up well against him and carried the ball up in open play better than any of Uni's front row. Uni did get a penalty try but it was when wicks had 7 versus 8 at the time.

I suppose it is fair enough for Eastwood to get home ground advantage.

This will be the game of the season.
