With an itchy throat i have just finished watching it on the box.
Although no one crossed the chalk - that was rugby, it was brutal rugby with both teams giving it there all for the full 80. Yes as Formerflanker said my Marlins lost - if the best team was to win yesterday i think it should have been a draw shit it was that close, a coin toss in it.

But shit I'm proud of them, great season, tight club, nothing in the tank,
  • Kiama Sevens
  • 4th grade Premiership,
  • Minor Premier Ship,
  • Sir Roden Cutler Shield and
  • a night where they all had a good time.

  • Bit more Blue & Red
  • Skip/s Kotoni & Matty - great years, and great words last night.
  • Coaches - great season.
  • The Leader of the pack - Beggy - best president in the Shute.
  • Jtrain - another great year knitting the boys together.

Dave, it certainly was close, but sorry to disagree with you, I do think the Woodies just deserved to win.

Manly should have scored more points in the first half. I thought they were going to unleash the best backline in the comp to devastating intent, but something went wrong.

Maybe you just need a bit more of a running threat from your fly-half.

I reckon most of the stats were as close as this.
We both won a half.
Our kickers both kicked 4 from 5.
We both had a shot at field goal - one hit, one missed.
I think we stepped up against your pack,
You stepped up against our backs.

I reckon all the stats would have been so even, it was a game that could have gone either way for the full 80 - a game with no tries can be so good as well.

I'm not saying we should have won, saying 2 good sides made a brutal but great game.

Fair enough, Dave.

Not sure how we can replace Perrett and the Badger. Maybe next year is your year!!!!!

& a bit more, pretty sure both teams;
also went 18 & 3 this year
Best attacking teams in the comp
Best defending team in the comp

Both teams played rugby to score tries yesterday, the D was just that good - and it was on FTA.

I thought he played his usual game.
What didn't he do yesterday, that he normally does?
You can only play well before the line,as he does, with total forward domination.

I didn't think he did much at all yesterday, and you would be right in saying he has turned in some similar performances this year (notably against Warringah). I thought he played quite well against Randwick though.

Yesterday needed a 10 who could control the game and while Lucas was the energiser bunny at 9, he can't play 2 positions at the same time.

Oi! Can you pop Manly into the winner's spot in the 4th grade result please.

I feel for Manly, I really do. Was a great game, although I didn't understand why Eastwood didn't have a tunnel at the start of the game. I was directly across from those Manly fans, actually felt sorry for them at the end of the game.

Club Presentation Nights are just around the corner, with several clubs already promoting their "night of nights" on their web pages.

Looking forward to seeing the lists of the various award winners from around the clubs.

Wamberal, you got that wrong - two years in a row you have made big negative statements about the Woods to be proven wrong. At least Belly knows what he's talking about. - "Tell him he's dreaming"

Are you sure you're an Eastwood supporter???

I have been an Eastwood supporter since 1953, that is when I first started trudging up to the old Eastwood Oval as a little boy.

I am still a member, although we live a long way away these days. Platinum member, actually.

How long have you been a supporter?

Incidentally, we are all free to post our opinions. I posted my honest opinion.

Hailing from Paraguay look for his lethal pick-and-drives and powerful running game.

13.Diego Argana
The Captain of Paraguay's National Rugby team is explosive, hard hitting and lightning fast - causes havoc for opposition backlines. A celebrity back in his homeland.

Can these Latin Americans players play at First Grade level?

That's always a very hard, and open question in a team sport.
Looking from the top down, I'm not sure that they in seat the players in Manlys first or second grade.

Manlys third grade baffled me - on paper that was a very strong side, I reckon they could have won the comp - was it because so many of the players floated up to second grade and also spent Tim in first grade this year - I don't know.

Forth grade, they built a rock solid hours with stability, and had a truck load of fun doing it.

So to answer your question they played rugby for fun and also holiday'd as well. Scott's Clemment is another good player, but was there for enjoyment and rugby.
