If anyone remembers this pitch from the Top League GF a few weeks ago it was in horrible condition, looks like they have worked hard to improve it but still looks pretty average on the fringes.

Edward Quirk?!?! Did his mother write the team sheet?

The Japanese love to it formally, and properly.

I can wait to hear the ground announcer read the players names as they run out - especially the Saffa players names!!!:p

I'm just keen to see the Sunwolves mascot "Pinging" get around the ground. I'm really looking forward to this game, it will be interesting to see what they bring to the table.

I just hope the Sunwolves don't get hammered. I think on paper they could be competitive with a team like the Lions, but having only a couple of weeks together before the season is such a huge disadvantage.

It would be great to see them be competitive. Looks like they are going to have a pretty decent following, jerseys have apparently sold out at both the ground and Canterbury shops.

So ~27K. Great effort first up, there's NZ teams that can't get that many to front & we're supposedly all mad keen on the game.

I expect thevLions to win, hopefully the Sunwolves at least do enough to keep most of those ~27K coming back.

Evidently the first few home games are sold out. Good start for the franchise.

I don't think the Singapore games are sold out. It's a big stadium in Singapore, and I doubt many there would feel a true affiliation with the team.
