Rudderless

Interesting they have reinstated the TracTahs program…

Scrum, lift, tackle and drive like a pro at the NSW Rugby Union TracTahs Tight Five Skills School — a fun, hands-on day for aspiring forwards across Northern NSW.
Learn from specialist coaches, make new mates, and take your game to the next level.

I'm not so sure they took their foot off the accelerator, more so the bench players that came on were not up to the task.
Again the coaches/selectors (Clev and Evrard) really need to have a harder look at selections, some of those players had no business being there.
In the second half both props came off and the scrum went to water, just look at the last scrum at full time. They lost all forward momentum, the only players making any progress was the big fella from Bathurst.
The biggest play maker in the team was also taken off. If they believe that they brought some of the bench players on for 'development' then why wasn't the #10, #15 or a couple of others who had a full game substituted to give others a chance to 'develop'. This still stink of nepotism.
I could honestly pick an entire team from the U16 age group that would flog the team that was on the field in the 2nd half... and give the first half squad a run for their money.
There were kids playing in that u16 regional carnival in Camden earlier in the year that are better than some of these kids in the Waratah team, i will say it does go far being born with a surname to assist with selections.

Also, surely to even out the competition we should add a Waratah 2nd XV or Development XV. This would enable no bye and allow some other kids a chance to be seen on this stage. There would be teams that attend the NSW State Championships that would put the sword through both the Brumbies and Victorian teams. Kids at this age should be getting as much exposure as possible and just because you're the 4th or 5th best in your position in NSW doesn't mean you're not better than then kids in other provinces.

Unfortunately it is what it is with the nepotism, kids not really needing to trial for the team and i am not saying they arent good players however it is strange that the selectors minds are so closed when it came to then selections. This squad would have been 98% selected prior to a ball being kicked this year
