Jeff Miller (Wallabies flanker, former QRU chairman/CEO) has been announced as the new Drua CEO:
One of the great Queensland rugby men.

Having said that. appointing himself coach in 2003 from the position of CEO probably the highlight of rugby governance in this country!

Only person to be captain, coach, CEO and Chair of the QRU / Reds. Not all at the same time of course.
also Life Member..

Optics, and outputs of that coaching move weren't a great one, that's for sure.
To his credit he returned in an management role later on, and was part of the QRU revival post Jim Carmichael, and turned it's finances around, putting the QRU on a more sustainable path going forward

Blues have poached Eli Oudenryn from CruSadists. Bastards.

Harry Godfrey has done an ACL & needs surgery so will miss all of next season. @Dan54 your 'canes really need to take better care of their 10s, eh?

I reckon Bridge will start before Darby for the Force and I'll be surprised if Poolman is in the 23 for the Tahs if everyone is available. O'Donnell, Ropata are better than him and then there's Hendren who was standout in Super Rugby Aus and could earn a shot at the bench.

I have high hopes for O'Donnell but haven't seem him replicate his club form yet. If you are leaning on Super Rugby AU form for Hendren (and he was good) you have to acknowledge how good Poolman was. I was one of many doubters, but he was excellent. His size and offload game could be fantastic asset for the Tahs, particularly given the star power they have outwide.

Might be right. Just haven't seen it in plenty of games thus far and it's not like he's been recruited as a gun of a well performing side. I reckon he was just off contract, Tahs gauged interest and he was keen to come home on a deal. Do we know if the Force tried to keep him?

Good experience though and they'll no doubt have to compete at training for the spot. With some of the games in Super Rugby Aus it was a questionable standard at times and guys form like Ropata for the Rats in SS should mean as much.
