Was the fight between them? I thought they meant those guys were in a fight with other people? Although I didn't see the news.

They crossed to him with "Danny Weidler has some breaking news about James O'Connor." Than Weidler went on with this crap about O'Connor's Wallaby career now being in jeopardy after it was revealed he was in a fight with Kurtly Beale and Quade Cooper on last year's EOYT. Apparently the problem was that O'Connor was the "third man in" to the fight.

They were truing to make out it was a new issue that Weidler has uncovered.

I have always loathed watching Weidler. He thinks that he is the star of the story, not just a reporter.

Agree. What a load of crap. Case of a B grade reporter pullling up ancient history just to make a headline. Channel 9 haven't shown much respect for rugby since picking it up and are just looking to get some attention on the game to up their ratings for the Bledisloe and the world cup.

It's clear there's no animosity between these guys. Sounds like the kind of drunk fight you have when your best mate nicks your last beer. You've just got to look at the three of them on the field together for the Wallabies to know that they're good mates. And notice how Beale and O'Connor have essentially made a joint decision to come down to the Rebels together.

Ha, if the Wallabies to a man got new Blackberries, how could JOC (James O'Connor) blame it on his mobile phone not working?

Also Qantas can't be too precious about be disrespected by JOC (James O'Connor), the company and its inflight staff have been disrespectful to the customers when still charging more than other airlines for yonks!

Just my one and half cent's worth here!

Shit 11 pages people. He stuffed up, the ' process' has been followed and the expected and just punishment administered. The offence is a let down for all but as I suggested earlier it really is a first offence, I still dont regard a food fight as anything more than childishness from children who probably still needed better supervision from their leaders.

Move on people, the 3N finishes this weekend and against my expectations the Wobs have a chance to win a major trophy for the first time under Deans.

You don't count the incident which saw him actually arrested on the Gold Coast? Got into a fight in the club, got asked to leave by police and refused?

Only scandal in Paris was the whole France team getting raped 7 tries to 1

By the way

Original Tweet: http://twitter.com/AdamCoopy/statuses/104176709871476736

Sent on the 18th of August. The Three Amigos wasn't playing on SBS that night....

I actually thought that was related to Gits dropping. That tweet was the night of the squad being announced from memory, and I have a feeling that he is quite close with Mitchell and Giteau. I thought 'then there was two' referred to only Mitchell and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) being left.

But it could be related to JOC (James O'Connor), Beale and QC (Quade Cooper). But I prefer my theory personally.

Dont remember it. Was he charged our just escorted out? In any event as I said the process has taken place it is finalized, and JOC (James O'Connor) has an ARU record. Timr to move on.

Arrested but no charges. Forfeited his bail as penalty.

Yes the campaign is in tatters because of something that happened last year and a few days later resulted in our biggest win of the year.

Slim if there are no charges there is nothing to bail. Bail is a contract to ensure appearance at court, it cannot be forfeited in lew of charges, not in Oz anyway. I would strongly suggest that on this information it would be dangerous to suggest he was arrested.

Good to see that Channel 9 are using every possible opportunity to whip up some additional interest and media coverage for the Wallabies....

But Jim Morton should be ashamed to have his name anywhere near that headline. That's the sort of stuff I expect from well, Danny Weidler or Phil Rothfield...

A minor disagreement that took place 9 months ago that everyone has clearly moved on from is hardly going to leave the World Cup plans in tatters.

What I would like to know though is who is Weidler's source?

Got to love the Wikipedia entry for Weidler - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danny_Weidler

Danny "The Weiner" Weidler is an Australian "journalist" and sports reporter. He regularly appears on camera for the Nine Network inventing weekly rugby league news and also does pieces for Nine's Footy Show (rugby league football). He has previously worked for the Sun-Herald newspaper.

In 2006, Weidler won a Walkley Award in Sport News Reporting for a piece on National Nine News entitled, "Russell's Rabbits".[1]

At least we don't have our players crapping in hallways, glassing women, getting into nightclub brawls and having alcohol/druh problems like those in League Land......just sayin!

The charges were 'contravening a direction', he was originally granted a nominal bail but later agreed to forfeit that amount as penalty and no conviction was pursued. Google it if you want more convincing that it happened.
