W9: Force v Highlanders, HBF Park Saturday 22 April

Equalizer

Phil Hardcastle (33)
Where to start. Gutsy, resolve....finished the job. It wasn't easy losing Callan and Pulu early. Hope both are well and have quick recoveries. The team was physical and the effort paid off. 3 wins at home love it!

We got out of the blocks quick and established the lead. Let's be front runners it helps to take the pressure off. Some great performances. IFL was dynamic, keeping the tempo up and keying the play. Hegarty made a huge difference with kicking in general play and putting points on the scoreboard. He had a great performance. Like Kalapu and Williams work rates. Robbo was around the park. Mataele rewarded in his 50th game with a nice try. Spinks some hard work that doesn't go unnoticed. The passing interplay was sticking and shows signs we are starting to know our roles and where to be.

We were challenged in the second half and copped a few yellows. Great signs from a young team to buckle but not break and push on for the win. Signs of a team maturing and wanting to work harder.

Great atmosphere, great to have the boys home. Those Blue jerseys looked awesome under a WA sunset lit sky. Exciting times ahead. GO you Force!

did Cron just fuck his subs up?

He took RWV off for a replacement hooker
And Tom Horton had an absolute shocker tonight. Piss poor handling, lineout errors and just too small and too light for this level of rugby. Don't know what it did to the team structures but Fines-Lelaiwasa seemed to end up in the centres late in the game.

Nah - in that massage passage of play towards the end he was still the only 9 on there but just was not getting to the rucks

Excellent performance from the boys tonight, especially in the first half. Of particular note was the support play. In previous seasons when we've made line breaks there haven't been the trailing support players running off shoulders, but tonight we had it. Funny how that leads to more tries eh?

Bryce steered the ship well at 10 and Isaak provided his usual energy and industry around the ruck base. I thought the pack competed well too. More of that please lads.
