Wallabies 2025 Spring Tour

The Ghost of Raelene

I'll be pretty disappointed with anything less than a 25 point victory and I think that's being generous to the Wallabies.

These guys have played a lot of footy together now and had a good rest from the end of the RC.

We escaped Piardi in the middle for any of our spring tour games - they gave the muppet NZ v England though.

V Japan - Ben O’keefe NZR
V England - Nika Amashukeli GRU
V Italy - Andrew Brace IRFU
V Ireland - Karl Dickson RFU
V France - Luke Pearce RFU
Good we have BOK for Japan as we should be able to overcome his nonsense for that one. Brace increases banana peel factor for Italy game though. Other 3 should be good but TMO and ARs are having more impact than they should this year (both interventions and non-interventions).

Completely depends on the team we put out. We could really select a B grade team who'd be on par with players like Dearns, Riley, Hockings etc.

Counter to that is 5 games in 5 weeks. We definitely won't finish with the A-team on the field against France if we play them every week

But there will be some movement if some players are available like Ikitau.

You can also manage some positions like the Front Row with rotations onto the bench for a week to only play a planned 30 mins and temper training during the week if they need it but the Wallabies need games together and need to be in them.

I expect Italy is where will see the most unforced movement, but that will include having 1st choice players like Ikitau and Skelton come in to otherwise offset the the losses from rotating a few guys out.

If we're looking at resting against Japan I'm not sure it'll be much beyond Tizzano for McReight and maybe a bit of prop and back 3 rotation. The rest will likely just be the forced changes (Paisami for Ikitau, Gordon for O'Connor, Salakaia-Loto for Skelton and Robertson/Ross for Slipper).
