Wallabies 2025

Uh huh

OK so Lynagh ain’t it. Notwithstanding his head issues I’d much rather carry JOC (James O'Connor) (James O'Connor) through to RWC27 than try to turn Tom into something. However, I have a feeling Donno will be given his chance on the EOYT and will lock down the jersey.

Larkham first shifted from fullback to flyhalf for the Brumbies in 1998 before winning the World Cup in 1999. Jorgensen has two whole seasons of Super 12 to learn the ropes.

Any idea what this game means for world rankings? Do we move up a smidge and arg move down a smidge - or because they are below us in rankings, we stay put?

We benefited from other results whilst playing against the B&I Lions.
Can't complain.
Yes this is true, but we won’t crow about being #6, Ireland will have a ticker tape parade. I said back then that I was happy to take the benefits from other team’s misfortunes after both England and Ireland did without actually playing the teams that were higher than them. We never get that own goal.

Fair points.

ok thats starting to be a slightly handy lead over Argentina. I think we'll do well in the Nov tour and possibly get one against the ABs which will help. Australian rugby needs us in the top 6.
Yep I think top 6 is nearly secured - Arg usually play poorly on their EOYT

If the World Cup Draw happened now what would that mean for us?

Am I correct in saying there are 6 pools of 4 teams so we would not have to play any of the top 5 teams?
Yep we'd be highest ranked on our pool and avoid the top ranked sides until the QF at least

although doesnt the pool with the best team who is ranked 6th, have the 7th ranked team in it. i.e the first ranked team have the 12th so they are laughing. what does that actually mean for the 6th ranked team? still a massive risk to get through - or is it simpler than that with the round of 16?

No, the draw is random within the bands.
