Wallabies 2025

Any ideas on locks? I can't get my head around who should be in the W's, one week one stands up the next week it's someone else.
I reckon it will be a fairly boring selection of Williams, LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) and Frost, with one of Skelton and Canham.

Whoever is picked will be outplayed by Itoje and Beirne

Agree with Williams, LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto), Frost. I think Swain may earn the last spot as he has been the best at lineout time in super and think he will be rewarded for it. I think Skelton will be left O/S with to little time to prepare with the squad.

I am not convinced that Williams has done enough to be included. I was impressed with his skill set and work rate last year, looks like both have fallen away. LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) goes well one week and bounces of everyone the week after. I suspect we have an issue in the row? Thank Christ! we have Bobby V at 6 or our back 5 would look pretty fragile in terms of ad line and breaking the line.

Swain won't get picked, not because he doesn't deserve it, but as a risk mitigation measure. Every Lions player would be winding him up to the best of their considerable abilities.

That's probably unfair, but it is what it is

I think LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) can add to the line denting on his day. If our tight 5 can roll up their and secure good ball it lets bobby and belly to break the line.

Maybe he doesn't react any more? We will never find out

I don't see it as unfair that he may be being held to account. The pity is tho the fans as if he has improved we are certainly better with Swain being available. How to show it surely up to him?

I'd probably start Williams and LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) with Skelton off the bench (in combination with a guy like Hooper or Uru).

Plenty of depth options too with guys like Swain, Canham, Hooper etc capable of filling in.

Frost over Swain and Canham. Hooper might be able to get away with a bit of time in the 2nd row but he's still more a back rower. Plenty of options either way which is good.

I do wonder if that's the snowball effect of him being on the end of defensive problems across the Tahs' backline, particularly with their centres?

Similar to the Wobs' issues last year with Paisami at inside centre.
Tahs play with a compressed defence, he has been defending 1 vs 3 too much
