I’m not as low on that backline as some others might be. If I was in Edmed’s shoes I’d see a lot of options to help me out. Good workrate, good impact, and a bit of strike. Creativity might be lacking a bit though.

There is just a chance that Joe has fallen for the same trap as Rennie did with the Italy game. The bench is not going to improve the team dramatically late in the game. There is a chance if the Wallabies are trailing late that the bench will not be up to the job of rescuing the game.

Pollard will improve the front row but both Ross and Robertson are steps down from the starters. Canham is not up to the standard of the starting locks. Harry Wilson looks to be the sole substantially better player but would have to replace CDC and maybe will as captain. Daugunu is the only back who is better than the starters. This really could be a banana skin unless the starting team is able to get a good lead before the replacements start to occur. Where's Carter Gordon?

Yeah, they don't want to be having another slow start...
It's at least takes a bit more advantage of combos (Force in the backrow, Reds in the centre and front row, tahs in the halves) than Rennies Italy side, but I'd really like one more game breaker (McReight, Jorgo or Sua'ali'i from the guys available) on the bench for emergencies, or a 6/2 to let us really hammer them in the pack.

More likely than not Harry comes on for Valetini. That's the way Joe has run just about every game of his tenure, outside of injury injuey enforced changes. Game situation may change that a bit, but I'd expect it's still plan A.

Did you want bell off the bench? I’m not sure who you would have instead of Ross. Clearly our 2nd best LHP now that slipper has retired. This if clearly not our best team but not that bad either.
