Wallabies v Lions - 3rd Test, Accor Stadium, Saturday 2 August

all the stuff they are whinging about this week is what we were whinging about last week and they don't see the irony. And we were whinging about one call that would have won the game. Lions got belted
I’ve seen some beauties on the socials today - Lions didn’t pick the best players, were on the booze all week, didn’t care about the game, and my favorite, that Skelton deliberately kneed Ryan in the head - to name a few.

Sounds like a bunch of smarting Lion’s supporters doing a windup.

One of the narratives theyre running with is that the terrible conditions suited us (after they pretty much all predicted the conditions would play to their advantage). I think in some ways the conditions did help us execute a fairly simple game plan but the mental gymnastics is amusing.

Iv also seen a lot of uk pundits blaming the loss on their mid game injuries. Its rich given that we've been negatively impacted by injuries throughout the series much more than the lions

Self-awareness might not be their strong suit. Imagine claiming to be uncomfortable with shit weather coming from that part of the world.

Yeah we really know how to deal with lightening strikes.
Man I never thought I’d see the day where wet weather is seen as an upside to our game rather than a mega team from the UK. Not on my bingo card.
I guess it follows the bazball narrative where you just pivot instead of facing up to the realisation that you lost.

To quote Chat GPT...
"
Here’s how the profit split works for the 2025 British & Irish Lions tour of Australia:

  • Rugby Australia (the host nation) will receive 60 % of the post‑tour profits.
  • The British & Irish Lions organisation (including the four home unions, players and designated clubs) will take the remaining 40 %"
The post-tour profits you'd imagine would be severly dented by the cost of both squads (incl. assist. coaches, fitness personnel, medical staff, players immediate families etc.) airline tickets, accomodation and so on.

I think ChatGPT is wrong here.

From what has been released, RA and Lions reached profit sharing agreement prior to the tour which groups together all broadcast, licensing and sponsorship revenue in a joint venture between the two bodies, but match-day revenue/ticketsales is purely for RA. Likewise any pre-tournament fixtures are revenue purely for the Lions.

AFR suggests that RA will take around $70million from match-day income, and $30million from the join venture revenue. So $100million in total with the Lions also taking home $30million from the JV
