I’m reading a few pages here of Lynagh criticism in this thread alone let alone the last matchday thread, i’m not sure it’s limited at all.Brumby. Can you tell me why Lynagh gets limited criticism compared to Lolesio and Donaldson? He missed two conversions that could have won us the game. He drops a ball in our 22, and from the scrum the Lions score. Misses touch from a penalty kick 15 minutes from full time which would have seen our line out and advance into Lions territory. He is and will be a great player no doubt, but it seems he is being given a much more positive spin in the media and commentary than our other two ever get. Obviously Schmidt favours him but I personally don't think he is a starter just yet and Donaldson should be given the starting role for an extended period. The backs would definitely see more ball. Lynagh was standing still when passing often, which is hardly putting the opposition into two minds in defence? Just some observations.
I’m going to move on from the nepotism discussion - other than to say some of the comments, IMO, have pretty clearly inferred Lynagh wouldn’t be in the Wallabies if he wasn’t Michael’s son.But right now, based on what we’ve seen, it’s fair to question whether the performances justify the opportunity. That’s not rubbish - it’s part of holding high-performance environments accountable.
It is not here. Forums are gibberish, me included! More the Stan commentary and media reporting. Anyway, it is what it is. I hope what ever team is selected beats these British and Irish Lions in the final Test. . We definitely are good enough.I’m reading a few pages here of Lynagh criticism in this thread alone let alone the last matchday thread, i’m not sure it’s limited at all.
I dont disagree with the comments on his mistakes here, and i too would have started Lolesio and Donaldonson before him.. but just disagree with this sentiment that he is above criticism when there’s a few people doing just that.
Does Aiden Ross play both sides of the scrum or just LH? Guessing he covers TH as he was brought in as injury cover for AA.Hugely disappointing, hopefully they use this as a chance to develop Nonggorr as we need some real depth at tighthead as right now there isn't really anyone you trust behind Allan, which is a big concern
No he's only ever played loosehead at a professional level. My guess is he was brought in to get him up to speed for the SA tour as Slipper will need a break at some stageDoes Aiden Ross play both sides of the scrum or just LH? Guessing he covers TH as he was brought in as injury cover for AA.

Oh jeez, between him and Allan that's 226 caps goneSlipper potentially in doubt for this week...
Tupou is already in the squad yes?
Aidan Ross called in, Potter probably out.
After Tate's performance on the weekend, I think it's clear Schmidt has recognised we need more Reds on the wingInteresting from Schmidt, I guess he thinks we need more size on the wing.
This is why I think we need to bring in some fresh hungry players to lift the squad, such as Pietsch, Tupou, LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto), Donaldson, Paisami etcWhile I certainly hope I'm wrong, I have a bad feeling about this weekend. History in any sport tells us it's really hard for teams to get themselves back up after an absolute heartbreaker like that
