It seemed to be his two of his biggest weaknesses last year with the Wallabies...

The ball didn't often get past him, and his kicking game was to say the least... awful.

He would often kick when it was the wrong option, and execute poorly... such as hoofing the ball straight down to the opposition fullback with a penalty advantage and a counter attack opportunity wasted, or a cross kick directly into the arms of the Springbok winger, or routinely grubbering the ball through at every opportunity inside the opposition 22m.

Having said that, if he promises to never kick the ball this weekend unless absolutely necessary... I wouldn't be entirely opposed to him starting as JAS' defence was found wanting as the game went on.

Haha yeah, other than last year. It usually is pretty deft though. Again not endorsing him really, but if the solution to Potter out is JAS sliding out one then it may work. I dunno. I’d just slot Pietsch in myself.

Great game to watch. Was rooting for the Wallabies but I don’t think tge Tizzano thing is as clear-cut as some might like it to be. Initially, I thought it was a definite penalty but not so sure after the play-back and slow-mos.

For me, the Genge penalties at the scrum were way more egregious and were pissing me off to no end. Wtf is the sideline ref doing or looking at?!

Hopefully Wallabies get up for Game 3 and destroy the Lions.

Wayne Barnes also came out supporting it predictably, whid have thought two home nations refs would agree with the call.

According to Barnes "common sense prevailed" with the call. Apparently he hasn't seen the crack down on any contact with the head in the last few years.

I didn't expect anything less. At least WR (World Rugby) kind of suggested it was the wrong call by only saying they support the referee team and not saying the call was right. What shits me is the lions fans online think Owens is perfect and what he says is always correct. He was a decent ref but has lost touched with the game

Hey Barnes was the ref when Brodie Retallic got his jaw broken with a highish shot against Irish, said just a penalty because it was a soak tackle. That was just a couple of years back.

I forgot that incident.

Just goes to show how inconsistent it all is - there is a priority on head knocks etc and then that's allowed to happen

He really needs to arrive with more balance, get low (as he was) and drive high. It looks like he gets sorta pushed by the lions player behind him, which doesn’t help his cause.

Senator Pocock said on TV that he thought Morgan left his feet and made contact with Carlo's head.

Pocock cited his own injuries around his neck and was disappointed that WR (World Rugby) continues to downplay these types of incidents.

I'll take his word on it compared to two British cronies who have never put their head in danger!
