Should be, but promotion has been lacking so far after a poor reds season. We'll do well to cracked 35k at this point.

Punters might also be remembering the team South Africa sent out here before the 2011 world cup, waiting to see who's named and considering whether ticket prices are worth it......

Boks v World XV:

15 Willie le Roux, 14 JP Pietersen, 13 Jesse Kriel, 12 Damian de Allende, 11 Bryan Habana, 10 Handré Pollard, 9 Ruan Pienaar, 8 Warren Whiteley, 7 Marcell Coetzee, 6 Francois Louw, 5 Victor Matfield (c), 4 Eben Etzebeth, 3 Jannie du Plessis, 2 Bismarck du Plessis, 1 Tendai Mtawarira.
Replacements: 16 Adriaan Strauss, 17 Trevor Nyakane, 18 Vincent Koch, 19 Oupa Mohoje, 20 Schalk Burger, 21 Cobus Reinach, 22 Pat Lambie, 23 Jean de Villiers.

Looks like their best available side, hope it doesn't mean the dirt-trackers get a run in BrisVegas...................

I doubt it. Player like de Villiers, Burger, Malherbe etc will need game time. Meyer needs to figure out a bunch of things like TH prop, back row combo centre combo.

So whilst he will be experimenting, he won't do what Jake White did and leave everybody at home. Jake White knew his starting 15 for the World Cup. Meyer has to test a binch of guys because the people he wants to start are injured.

So in Brisbane I think he will test:
A front row with Malherbe, Strauss, Beast
De Jager back at lock with Etsebeth or possibly the Lions bloke at 5 with Etsebeth
Burger, Louw and Whiteley
Depending how he pulls up, start JdV

Doesn't look half bad.

My changes to that would be: Slipper starting for Sio, and I think Chieka will start Phipps (not sure why though...) and he will find a spot for Beale. Maybe with Mitchell starting, Beale on the bench, and Tomane out.

Wallabies will win this game.

Boks forced into trial mode and playing at a venue where the Wallabies will want to re-establish their proud record.

I agree they need to be rested. But I don't think the first game back is the time to do it.

I think you should start with what you think your strongest squad is because if it works then your team and structures will be settled from game one. The rest of the tournament you can then build game-time for other players working around your now preferred starting XV.

If it doesn't work you have more time to experiment and try out other combo's.
