Righto. I only went to the stats because I was going off my recollection of the game. Which was that Barrett was playing very very well. Then he broke his hand and the Brumbs won by a point in the end. Correlation ain’t causation and all that. And any win at eden park is not to be sneezed at but I definitely feel that injury had some impact on this game.

Maybe the Blues would’ve been better with him, and he was playing well, but it was a pretty close game when he was on the field up until the last 5 mins of the half and he wasn’t involved in either of those plays that led to the two breakaway tries …

Anyways, not a hill I’ll die on but I just don’t think he was the defining element of that game.
