Incredibly unlikely. I like Grant, but he's behind (in form and most cases experience) Salakaia-Loto, Frost, Swain, Williams, Canham and Blyth, and that's before you consider guys who can fill in at lock (Uru, Hooper, Leota) or potential overseas picks like Skelton.
It might be different if he had a strong combo with some of the other wallabies but as it stands Bell, Porecki and Tupou are the only tight 5 tahs that will be in the squad and Grant hasn't played enough with Porecki to claim any sort of combination there.

I'd say no @The GroundsKeeper because of the fellas in front of him. He's 26 and who knows in a couple of years and good luck to him. At this stage I think he can be a good steady part of the Tahs pack moving forward. You need 3-4 of his type players in the side that earn a start and don't break the bank.
He looks so lean but he's still listed at 118kg so a good asset to have. He seems to start at most teams he lands at as well which tells me coaches like him and what he brings which is good for the group.

It really is if your'e a chance of being a top side. Same goes for Hooker.
Hard for a no.2 Halfback on the roster (not talent) though to turn down a starting job though which is the worry.
Gordon is a tad fragile, Wilson will get plenty of game time

I think it's a great position as we're not flogging Gordon into the ground. Rotating starts depending on opposition, lots more freshness in the legs. Starting to build a good roster for next year, but we need better recruitment in tight 5.

Matt Phillip signing and Grant extending is a good start. With guys like Doyle and Manglesdorf in the 20s there is the makings of a good group. I still have hope for Miles but I think it’ll be gone by mid next year if he can’t switch on.

miles is skelton-lite. grant has been super impressive, phillip is good, agree on this, i think sinclair's grunt is often underrated. I'd love Grant to be Jackpot 2.0 but its a bit too soon I think. Thor's replacement? Not sure.

Said it before re Miles but he's only 22 and people are holding him to a Skelton standard that was only really seen from 25-26 onwards which seems a pretty common thing for the big boppers. Not everyone is Angus Bell or James Slipper and at 21 ready to go. Skelton was bemoaned by many for being ill-disciplined and unfit (warranted at the time) at the same age.
Front Row is an issue and you can be a great side without at least 4 starting calibre Props and 2 that are pro standard behind that. I tend to think we'll see a pickup or two from the ITM cup in the front row as cover. Could come from SS but I don't see that many big Props who are Pro level. Again, good kids in the system but they are a couple years off.

Not even young. A guy like Jermaine Ainsley at Lyon would be an amazing pickup.
I naively assume this is a priority recruitment and they have hopeful plans. You can quickly turn things around if done right. Look at the Reds and how good Ravai was for a couple of seasons. I'd guess only started half his games there but he was an effective mature player.

Think that under plays it a bit. Skelton was staring in a test match for Australia at age 22
Obviously he still had things to work on but he was a lot further along than where Miles is now.

Should he have started at that point though? Selections are a funny thing that depend on coach, timing and club success which the Tahs had then.
Iv'e always liked him as I think every side needs a couple big bullies on the field. Copped plenty for being too heavy and not refined which only started once he got to Saracens and we all do the world beater chat of overseas Aussie players.

Miles needs to dramatically improve his work rate and discipline before being considered for a starting spot with the Tahs let alone the Wallabies. But he’s only young as u say so there’s still hope.
