Less fun news, Sua’ali’i is out for four weeks with a broken jaw
Odd that it's only just coming to light. Thought they would have done scans on that straight away. Perhaps because he was obviously missing the week anyways they just wanted to keep it under wraps. Or they just waited longer to do the scan.

For comparison, the Force have 8 Wallabies in their 23 this week. Brumbies have 10 and Reds 9.

Likely current matchday 23 Wallabies would be a better test given how many players are Wallabies but are nowhere near playing for them either ever again or anytime soon.

Just shows how many people are capped Wallabies running around. No wonder we sit where we are.

I'm not sure there's really anything to be taken from this.

If you look at players to debut across the last decade most of the top teams sit somewhere in the same range of numbers. We're right around 100 players and most teams are between 80 and 120 that I looked at.

Is it that different across the NZ sides? If we exclude the Highlanders (NZRU seems to) than it's Hurricanes with 7 All Blacks (+2 other test sides), Crusaders with 9 (+2 other test sides), Blues with 9 and the Chiefs (last week) with 12. Seems pretty comparable to our numbers.

Tahs confirmed that Sinclair, Gleeson, Leota, Vailanu, Heaven and Kalapu all gone next year. Thats gonna hurt.
Vailanu is the goods and Kalapu was strong off the bench, not to mention the leadership lost. Manu coming in is strong but is also 33.
Any other young guns ready to step up outside of Doyle?

So far we have Philip as a replacement for Sinclair, which is a plus. Samu for Leota is good too, Leota hasn't set the world on fire. Gleeson will be very difficult to replace as will Vailanu who always produces the goods. Heaven was pretty solid as well when he had opportunities.

I'd be going for one of the Qld hookers.... possibly Asiata as the other 2 are wallabies.
Blake is signed through next year. Don’t know about Asiata but he’s pretty needed at the Reds. He’s ahead of Nasser. Craig is young and behind all of them and is not signed past 2025 so I can see him moving to get more opportunity.
