Waratahs - SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) 2026 - Fri night is Tahs night

Shiggins

Michael Lynagh (62)
Poolman looking pretty good out there. Not sure if that's a sign he's starting to find his feet or an indication of the level. Probably a bit of both.
He looked decent but more an indication of the level. He looks like he will fire at super one day. It's taking a long time though

I know Miles has been talked about as an EOYT candidate but no way based on today.
Except for a few highlights reel moments against the Lions he has not played anywhere near Wallaby level all year.

He is well down the locking totem pole. You have the current Wallaby stocks, Swain and Philip. I would even have young Shaw from the Brumbies ahead of him.

He did look quite a bit more comfortable in the centres then when the Force have used him on the wing in the past. Easy to forget he's only 23 with three full super seasons under his belt now, realistically most players are only just finding their feet at that level at this stage.

Has he been talked about for the EOYT?
His name comes up every now on then given his frame, both in the media and from some of the more vocal tahs fans.

In fairness the potential is clearly there (early on he was making good impact with that big frame), but it's little more then potential right now - he struggles to keep the intensity up for 40, let alone a full 80 and his discipline is not anywhere near good enough, particularly for someone as recognizable as him.

Their involvement is a big part of the combo problems.

With that in mind Creighton was poor and he should be able to set guys up at this standard if he’s a legitimate Super Rugby playmaker. The Force weren’t that good either but after 40 mins started to do simple things well.

Thought Hendren for the Tahs had a fairly strong showing at 15. Did as much as he could and did set up a certain try in the first half that was spilled by Serfontein who did not look like a Wing option after playing Centre most of the year for Easts.
