Waratahs v Reds, Fri 9th May 7:35pm @ Allianz

Reds are clear underdogs on what looks likely to be a dry track against a WaRAtahs team that is seemingly unbeatable at home. If Geoff Parkes is to be believed, I'm sure Papa Waugh is pulling every string he can to get one over us dirty, selfish traitors north of the border. Tahs by 35.

Call me crazy but I’d be pairing Thomas with Lynagh. Kalani was way more effective from 9 against the Drua I thought and it brings Lynagh into the game a bit more with a pass first scrummy.

I do see merit in this.
McDermott is more a sniping half-back. And HMP is more a running/sniping fly-half.
With the two of them coming on in the second 40 minutes, I can see line breaks against a tiring defence.
But give them 30 mins+ to weave their magic.

Old man Gordon only has one functioning knee. Tate will run riot with Gordon being busted.

Will be getting out to the game this weekend. Last time I got out to watch the Tahs vs Reds at Allianz in 2012, I witnessed Dom Shipperley score a 60 metre game winner on the buzzer after Brendan McKibbon inexpicably kicked the reds the footy with seconds left on the clock. Hoping for a much better result on Friday, go tahs!

Horror injury list there - 2 loose heads, 2 hookers, 2 back rowers (both Wallaby captains), 4 centers, 2 fullbacks. Really drains the depth across the board.

Good to have Nasser and Daugunu back. Getting Dicey at LHP. Keen to see how Dre goes at inside.

Creighton and Foketi dropped entirely, bit of a surprise to see Walton preferred at 12 over Foketi. Redhead Edmed vs Reds, like it though. Great to see Porecki and Lee-Warner back.
