Western Force 2024

Filipo Daugunu

Allen Oxlade (6)
Force in terrible shape with all these injuries. Who the hell is going to be the bench second rowers and props? 1. M.Pearce 3. Medrano 17. C.Hancock 18. A.Moli? 4. Lopeti Faifua 5. Tom Franklin 19. Harris or a half fit Rodda?

That's getting real skinny. He still seemed a very raw product in the U20s
Yeah, but with the injuries and Pugh having departed they really don't have anyone else with frame to cover lock from the bench. The alternative is having Harris, Anstee or Wells cover lock, but none of them strike me as particularly good options. Might be best to give the youngster a bit of exposure so he knows what to aim for. Williams will be back in a week and Rodda is only a few weeks off so it's really only this week they're desperate for cover.

With him gone who do the force have now actually from Perth?
Tizzano and Pasitoa off the top of my head. They look to have quite a few in their under 20s/under 19s pretty close to making the step up and the changes to the club system alongside the post season fixtures should start to pay dividends over the next few years.

Looks like the Force have called up Tiaan Tauakipulu as an injury replacement for Hoopert. Straight into the 23 this weekend

Taking into account the proclaimed injuries. Very happy to the caution being applied to Jeremy Williams' concussion.

A very good team to front-up against the Hurricanes.

Some good surprises with Rodda starting and obvious signs that Props stocks are being tested.

Williams rested for another week with White and Donaldson starting halves.

Good options across the front row and flexibility across the backs.

Really looking forward to the opening game.

Only 2 others Ollie Callan and Marley Pearce - making 4 in the main player group. Three named in the XXXIII and Pasitoa injured (elbow)
A lot more in the Wider Training group (who played against the Cheetahs in last years Spring Series) plus about half of the recently named Fortescue Academy squad.

It's unreal. Such a good prospect but can't get on the pitch
Yes. Some lads really have a tough run of things Its rather cruel. Will Harrison at the Tahs is another whose career and prospects have been stalled by injury issues.
