I think it’s best to say that Angus Bell played better in the 2nd half being instrumental in three tries. The forwards were comprehensively beaten all day in every aspect making it impossible for the backs to contribute. A squad with such promise at the beginning of the year appears to have lost direction and team unity. Until Riverview get a strong coaching staff in that isn’t influenced by a powerful parental body they will not succeed at GPS level.
Yeah. Would have been big concerns amongst View coaches and supporters when Scots won a tight head from first scrum in match and from there on Scots 1 - 8 clinically dismantled the opposition. I expected a lot more from Views star studded backline but even they found it tough goings given Scots forward dominance. Wellington and Williams had very strong games. Scots backs went well too. Nothing fancy. Just kept the ball alive until the holes eventuated. I thought Mason, fill in for Savala at 10, controlled things well and Mossman (15) was on fire, particularly in first half.
