Spot on, bench player at best. he has only signed for a year so if he doesn't make an impact in the early in the season he won't be around much longer. Maybe he'll train the house down in the next few weeks but he looks like he has a lot of work ahead of him

So with Foketi out are we looking at a backline of:
9. Phipps
10. Foley
11. Folau
12. Hunt
13. Ashley-Cooper
14. Rona
15. Beale

Hunt been very good in trials as has AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) so can't see why you would not have both in the starting line up. When Foketi comes back from injury, probably looking at:

9. Phipps
10. Foley
11. Folau
12. Hunt
13. Foketi
14. Ashley-Cooper (Rona to the bench as can cover centre/wing)
15. Beale

Agree totally. If Gibson gets the pack firing, we've easily got enough firepower to handle the Rebels and Brumbies.

It's a big 'if' though.

That's as dangerous a backline as anywhere in the conference (although I would swap in Gordon & Clark for Phipps & Rona on the bench in a 6/2 split).

My others:

Rebels: Genia, Cooper, Koro, Hodge, Meakes, Maddocks, DHP (Ruru, English in a 6/2)
Reds: McDermott, Stewart, Naivalu, Kerevi, CFS, Daugunu, Petaia (Sorovi, Hegarty, Paia'aua)
Brumbies: Lucas, Leali'ifano, Muirhead, Simone, Kuridrani, Pulu, Banks (Powell, Hawera, Speight)

Foketi getting 3 tries in a trial match that no one was able to watch for a dodgy stream was perhaps the greatest career move he's ever done. All of a sudden his injury is a big blow to the Tahs and only now do two experienced capped Wallaby star recruits get considered as starters.

He'll be a Wallaby contender before we know it.

I thought he was a kiwi?

Nope. Educated at TKS and played Aus Schoolboys. He's obviously got some Kiwi and/or Islander in him though..

EDIT: I got curious so I looked him up on Wikipedia, he was born in NZ, no idea when he came out here, and he returned to NZ to play for Bay of Plenty from 2015-2017

It is a big if. If vui is out and Robertson already out than who is the next in line to play 3?

The forwards struggle at the go forward and set piece.

I thought highly of Foketi when he arrived last year, but a trial is just a trial. He'll be four weeks behind whoever gets the nod when he returns, which is often a bridge too far.
