Waratahs 2020

Wells is a good unit, but he was unlikely to start with everyone fit, Dempsey, Haniga, Hooper, will likely start and with Swinton, Tafa & Will Harris coming through - I can see why he may look for other opportunities.

But with Isi starting at the Rebels, I wonder where he will fit there as well

Isi Naisarani, Luke Jones and Richard Hardwick, Angus Cottrell, Rob Leota, Boyd Killingworth and Brad Wilkin... it's a bit of a stacked deck down there.

Maybe he just doesn't fit into the style they want to play at the Tahs. I think he's a great footballer, shows some great skills, but he is a little on the lighter side with impact. I did enjoy seeing him supporting in those wider channels at times. He'd surprise a little with his pace and could deliver a nice offload/pass when needed.

I thought that I read that he was going back to 7s so would .is a chunk of the season. I agree we are a bit back row he a y but will miss his wide channel busts and wish him all the best

Form reports it sounds like he's given up 7's (or been told he's not needed) so is commiting to the XV game.

SMH reporting Andrew Hore to run The Blues. No more fekking kiwis for fek sake.
Surely there is someone that can run the club who is born and bred NSW...

Not bothered to see him go. I just have little faith in the "dyed in the wool" NSW system.
Fair enough but surely there’s an actual competent sports administrator in the state somewhere, not just the usual silver tail hopping on the gravy train

Great winger could you guys chase Semi Radradra, looks like an absolute super star and has lived in Sydney, not sure on the whole foreign player law though, but would put bums on seats.

Agree....but he was a superstar for Parramatta Eels before heading to French rugby for a squillion. Not even NRL could match his pay. Would love to have him but he'd get heaps more overseas and his Fiji caps would be a problem for eligibility

Irrespective of how you think he's gone, the timing of this can't be great. New coach and all that disruption and then he's off... can't be great for continuity. Do they now have to go through a similar process searching for the best sports administrator?

Yes, I would love to have the Tah's sign him, but unless they have some benefactor to donate some serious coin, it isn’t going to happen. A real talent thought. Great to watch in that Fiji team.

Says the NSW board are unaware about him moving. If he goes and leaves NSW after they just had an upheaval and the loss of a sponsor and not letting the board know a this end of the season then that is disgraceful. It will disrupt next season too after taking so long to appoint anew coach leaving recruitment in a more difficult spot.

Yeah, next year is feeling like it could be a little messy. Hopefully the players are insulated from any behind the scenes dramas.

Yeah pretty poor effort there, especially if the situation eventuates that the new CEO doesn't like the new Coach, or they disagree with each others visions for the organisation, just sets the conditions for more instability later on.
