Two of Australia’s greatest modern era hookers are living in Brisbane - Steve Moore and Brendan Cannon. This isn’t about Brad. Honestly. My issue (and this has been a long running issue) is with management and it’s inability to land good coaches.

Look over the history of Reds in Super Rugby and pick a third good coach after Knuckles and Link.

Mate, if you're going to call for Thorns head, then pony up a replacements name. Just remember, QRU and RA are broke. QRU had to stand down contractors during COVID, so much so the Reds lost their Defensive coach.

Not sure I can agree with the narrative either. In a post COVID world with sport looking precarious all around the world and coaches considering what is important - Qld/Australia is not a bad option. If you were serious about it the current climate is something of a leveller and a buyers market. Do an international search that actually gets outside the Ballymore carpark into Europe, South Africa, Argentina (small group but unemployed) you would expect to find someone useful.

I just don't agree that we should do it. Thorn is our man at this stage.

It's bizarre that you can't engage with a constructive post by someone who follows a different team. Always so much animosity.

As genteel and cordial as this forum postures to be, don’t you think it should at least try to maintain some tribalism?

I personally prefer QLD rugby to the Wallabies and wish the Waratahs collapsed and had to start again.

Is that right? Probably not. But I think that passion and care for my team will carry this sport much further than the patsy merry go round of pats on the back from opposition supporters two days after getting rodgered.

But if you demand that I kowtow to encouraging you putting pressure on Thorny, well then this place is just an autocratic echo chamber for you and your mates.

You must be disappointed though? i am less tribal and i was very excited by all the young prospects in the Reds side - but it is quite disappointing to see them fail to turn their obvious talent into wins.

As you point out - Queensland seem to produce most of the countries talent. So something must be up.

Also - you can't want to keep tribalism alive and also want the Tahs to fail outright. Doesn't make much sense.
