Rebels 2021

Rebel man

Storm is Friday night, Melbourne City Saturday, so Sunday was the only choice. I'm not a fan of Sunday games, pissed off that we had to wait till round 3 for a home game. Even more pissed off now that it's round 5, miss 2 games for Easter holidays than get one more.

Rebels were given a bull shit draw all along. And anyone from another state who thinks it not harsh just need to think about it. Round 1 should have been home games to the Rebels and Force as a thank you for the sacrifice they made in 2020.
Or we could of kept it in round three. Ultimately if border shut downs prevent the force from hosting that is their problem and we shouldn’t be the ones losing out

Your 100% correct RA doesn’t 1 bit care about the rebels & especially doesn’t care about the ppl that actually go to games. There is a Melbourne side purely so when they go to Qantas (previously) Land Rover (Tata motors) & Fairfax nein they can say they have a presence in Australia’s 2nd biggest soon to be most populated city.

Another target hit equals another fat bonus & another bottle of grange for the collection

That’s what’s frustrating so little is ever done to support the game and help it grow in Victoria. It’s just here you have a team, we will treat you as second class citizens and it’s up to you to make it work. Melbourne is a competitive market and the club can do well here but it needs an opportunity to do well

I don’t get why people can’t understand that politicians will make decisions that might be based on logic/health/securing votes but also affect people unfairly and it’s okay to have compassion for them. Doesn’t have to turn into a pissing contest. Things are shit and we can all do with some empathy.

So winning an election is more important than a country bloke hanging himself because he lost his job his house & his livelihood because he’s not allowed to work in area with single digit infections? Not allowed to cross a bridge to seek help because he falls a few km out of an ‘exemption zone’ yeah ppls lives are a (in your words a ‘pissing contest)

I don’t care if you barrack for dan, gladys or the bloke out west you don’t seem to realise your a number & even if it was you that was struggling they simply don’t care about ppl

Sorry bud you misinterpreted my post (i agree with you). I was saying it upsets me people can’t see through their parochial state bias that others are suffering. For some reason because of an arbitrary state line people forget we’re all aussies and some are doing it tough.

And my comment about votes was actually criticising premiers who’ve been masquerading purely self interested political decisions as “health” decisions. I think it’s reprehensible that pollies, in a crisis, have been putting their careers before what is best (but hey what’s new).

“From the Brumbies perspective, it means they will not play all of their four scheduled home matches before the end of March before themselves going on the road.”

“What it does mean is the when Rebels they do go back to Melbourne, they will be able to stay there for the duration of the competition, only venturing out of Victoria for their April 24 assignment against the Waratahs in Sydney.”

“Now that I know what the schedule is, that’s a conversation I am prepared to have,” he said. “If we need to do that, I will definitely offer that up as an option and I know that Rugby Australia, from the Wallabies staff point of view, have said that if there is a need or a want to bring anyone in on a short-term basis or to fill in or cover, they are prepared to do it, which I think is a great offer. The guys are very committed and won’t want to let down the team but it just depends on whether (or not) they can bunker down for another couple of weeks.

except they get to go home after every game sleep in their own bed see their own family & didnt have to go through it for 13 weeks for non wallabies selected player & 6 months for the ones that went through till December as apart of the wallabies squads

this is easily the dumbest post I have ever seen

The season could be over if we have a slow start, given the injuries and the fact we are getting fucked over at every turn the squad are living out of their cars it’s a distinct opportunity.

Can’t be worse then the Waratahs

This part says what the Rebs fans have been saying

"The guys are very committed and won’t want to let down the team but it just depends on whether (or not) they can bunker down for another couple of weeks."

I assume that is about our players. Sounds like they are at their limit.

Beating the Tahs won’t take us to the finals though. Clear as day the Reds and Brumbies are the front runners step down to the force and hopefully us and then the Tahs are a long way off. If we go 0-3 the year is done. Rugby Australia has let us down big time

Look at what the Storm achieved last year being away from Melbourne all season. Rebels can’t hide behind COVID as as excuse for performance. ARU can’t be blamed, well for COVID anyway.

And how many home games did the force play last season?

Well congratulations on getting as many home games last year as we did.

After last year, you'd think a decent bloke would have some empathy for other rugby supporters in the same boat. I s'pose it's easier to just go onto another team's page and shit post.

Fuck off.

Realistically I think they were always destined for a 1-2 record after 3 rounds. And to be fair, if they don’t beat the force in Perth then they aren’t going to beat the Brumbies in Canberra
Good head to head record with the Brumbies. Either way you aren’t going to sell tickets to a 0-3 side
