Berrys insistence to card the Tahs yet let the Brums do whatever they want highlights everything wrong with Super Rugby. The utter lack of consistency is mind boggling. Perese’s high tackle was nothing like Frosts who connected with Jorgensens head with his shoulder but Berry didn’t even bother to look at it.
i was at the game and as soon as that incident popped up on the replay the screen suddenly had some ad to meet the Brumbies Chairman. Added to this the boos and whistles from the crowd when Tahs were attempting conversions and p goals is peak Canberra.
Really would have been nice to leave the stadium with a win but maybe another year asking what went wrong is what the sky blue need

I'm looking forward to rewatching the replay of the game having been at the stadium to see how it compares to my live observations. The Tah's had some real tenacity about them and to be honest (yes I'm a Tah's fan so take it for what it is), I feel they should have won that one. I actually thought there was lots of elements of the Brumbies game that was rather ho-hum tonight, but like the best teams they still grind out a win even when they're not at their best. The Brumbies bank of set plays, however, is excellent. You could see them lining up for a number of those tries, including the barnstorming Slipper, which they use to often line up AAA's for. I still feel they're suspectable to a more unstructured game where the errors really creep in for them, including their defence. You could see them struggling when they either lost shape or lost the front foot which I felt the Tah's did a reasonable job at causing at various points.

Also, for the record, I thought Berry had an 'ok' game. Maybe I'll change my mind when I watch it on replay, but by and large I think he got the big things right.

The Tah's lost that game due to numerous little moments, especially when they piled on more pressure due to poor execution (mainly kicking and scrummaging), which was hard to watch at times as it often came off the back of some extended periods of solid defence and real effort. Add in some of the penalties and discipline issues and they allowed the Brumbies to pin them down their end. I'm not sure Larkham will be thrilled with the Brumbies conversion rates in that game as they had more possession and a lot of that down in the 22.. Tah's half of the field.

I feel like if this had been the Tah's we saw in the first game against the Brumbies you'd be pretty happy. Add in a few people like Gleeson, Bell and Gamble and I suspect they would have got that one home.

I'm a brumbies fan who was also at the game and I agree. The Tahs looked the better team for most of that match.

Yes, usually but they brought on a loose head (Lambert) and Faulkner switched sides. So in fact they dragged Jorgensen to bring Lambert on

was a great game. the word composure was used a lot by the brumbies post match and they definitely had it.

perhaps their instinct that the tahs would invariably find a way to shit the bed as usual led them to believe all they needed was to watch the tahs fuck it up.

The Tahs were always going to put in a spirited performance, but I was just disappointed in the way the Brumbies handled having a two man advantage in the first half... that's when a good team is going to take advantage and they just seemed complacent in those moments.

He was OK but some of his midfield kicking early was aimless.

Our defence was top notch and the main thing keeping us in the game.... oh and Jed Holloway.

So many times he kicked it straight back down their throats with no chasers extremely frustrating
