If the Tahs had taken 3 points at the beginning of the 20 minutes the Quade would have kicked it out on the full from the Kick off and it would have been a completely different game as we kicked more penalties and won the game

There you go Sully, fixed that for you.

If the game convinced Robbie that QLD front rowers suck (apart from Slipper) then it was a victory.

If there had been a penalty try or a pushover try your hopes might have a bit more traction, reality is that NSW got neither after 20+ minutes trying, so it says more for the QLD scrum resilience than anything else. Not taking away from the fact the NSW front row were bloody good.

Yeah regardless of what anyone thinks about the scrums channel 10 9 and 7 and that AFL bloke from offsiders are going to be laughing there arse off at rugby, not popular in Australia, this is why rugby isn't working in AUS, rugby needs to sort out it's game. TBH that's what I find so annoying, it giving all the leaguies and journos something on this game. It leaves me deeply disapointed when it happens because it's cringeworthy to watch as you know that youll hear wally on 9 saying, "Last night the Reds scraped home in a scrappy affair, with 20 minutes of scrums" and then masked giggling. THat is why I am so pissed at NSW. I find it embarassing and depressing.

Why don't you pipe down? Regardless of the qualities of your point, you've made it twenty times.

How is rugby not working in this country? I'm so sick of hearing this crap. They got 40'000.

Rugby is rugby. Sometimes there's 25mins of scrums. The intensity of that was unreal.

If you find that boring then watch AFL or NRL with other pack of fools that need a ball bouncing and simple rules to entertain them.

Stop saying we need to change our game. It's fucking beautiful the way it is. I love it.

This.

Mungoes can complain all they want but at least we don't have the dregs of society playing our game.

I find it hard to believe that all the Reds fans are doing is complaining that the Tahs weren't 'playing rugby' because a there were some scrums. You won for fuck sake, leave the complaining to us.

Also, if the Wallabies don't win the World Cup and Mitchell is on the sidelines for it I am holding Higginbotham and the Reds and Qld personally responsible. We will place explosives along the border to be blown simultaneously and you'll all be cast off to drift in the Pacific until you hit that swirling garbage whirlpool thats out there, where you belong.

Go on do it! I dare you! Cast us off into the abyss - banishment of an entire mineral rich state from the federation is surely just compensation for Schmoo rolling his ankle running into the back (not front) of Higgers!

Then we will take back the players that are rightfully ours - the aforementioned Schmoo, JOC (James O'Connor), Pocock, Sharpe, Barnes, Elsom etc and beat you at the World Cup too...

2 main points from tonight:

1. Farewell Phil Waugh - just fuck off, I hope to never see you in Wallabies colours agian, &
2. Tahs fans owe the Force a big thankyou for knocking over the Bulls and keeping you in the contest for a wildcard spot. Can't really afford any more losses though can you? Good luck with your upcoming string of home games. Let's hope they go better than your match against the Cheetahs which realisatically is what has destroyed your year.

Wrong, you must be kidding yourself... the tahs tight 5 is utter crap for Aussie rugby... And been the problem for year... Baxter shit house prop....Mummmy boy has got nothing... Polata is a sook...... Robison is the best the tahs have...
And the scrum half bring the whole team down

15 minutes to go and four points down... if there was ever a time the warratahs needed a captain...
if waugh doesnt have the legs to go the full 80 then maybe the tahs should bring him on the last 65? im sick of watching them fade the moment he leaves the field...
i made a point about this jus last week and never has it been more obvious-

I have never heard a group of people more graceless in victory as (some) Reds fans tonight. If I hear one more unreconstructed bogan saying how crap the Tahs are or telling Phil Waugh to fuck off I'll... I'll... I'll find something dramatic to do!

An observation. This thread is fast approaching BBC 606 levels of shit-flinging.

It's disgusting. I'm going over to Planet Rugby where the dialogue is (much) more civil, where there were honest congratulations from both sides on the match thread. This place isn't what it used to be.

That's a dumb thing to say, it (the scrum?) was pretty even mostly. The NSW scrum never actually succeeded in anything apart for more reset scrums.

How can you possibly comment on a game you obviously didn't watch.

I can be gracious in defeat and victory, and the Reds were damn lucky to win that one. They were one scrum from a yellow and then another from a penalty try. They were saved by some timely subs on both sides.

But Phil Waugh is ungracious in both victory and defeat and has shown no respect to the Reds for their efforts last year and this year. So count me as one who thinks that Waugh can fuck off. I like my captains to be gracious and magnanimous, not whining and arrogant and disrespectful.

Quade owes his team, coaches and 40,000 fans a drink for nearly losing the game by his kicks out on the full. I hate the cliche, but it was a game of two (disparate) halves.

How long did the Tahs sign Cross for? Any danger he won't head North for the money next year, because god knows he will never wear a wallaby jumper again.

Got that in one. The forwards should never have to buy a drink in any pub when QC (Quade Cooper) is around after that performance!

Come to think of it, Cross turned out a good signing, Horne lasted 2 and half rounds.

There's no one else for us unfortunately :(

Horne's impact can never be underrated.

Sad but true. Will they pluck someone from Shute Shield, or is there someone in the academy that is likely to come in? On the subject of injured players, there must be more to the story of TPN coming off early. I didn't catch it, but heard the commentators say something about him throwing up just before going off. Hopefully he is alright.

Going to be a tough run home for the Tahs, more for the backline stocks than anything else. Not a good thing for Aus rugby in any year, but worse in a WC year. Any word on when Horne might be back online?
