timmy horan can't cost that much to commentate!

You wouldn't mind if he took his bat and ball and sulked off home? I doubt he will do that, but if he did he would reinforce every negative perception of him as a player and a man.

When you put it like that i guess i would mind!

However i would respect his decision if he decided that he didn't want to play for the barbarians so that he didn't injure himself for his new employer in France. But at the same time, what has to happen for him to be included? Maybe 4 injuries to backline players?

you'd have to think that an injury to any of Barnes, McCabe, A Faainga or Cooper and you'd see giteau come in. anyone who plays the 10/12 role. if an outside back goes down, Turner probably comes in.

Would love to see gerrard baxter and gits all get their swansong in aussie colours.

The former. Don't think this is associated with the Barbarians Rugby Club, rather it is the 'Australian Barbarians'. It's basically the ARU's way of saying 'Australia A' without binding them to pick a legitimate 2nd XV.

Would be great if the ARU used this opportunity to roll out some classic wallabies jerseys. I would love to get my hand on the 1991 WC style jersey or even the 1984 Adidas striped jerseys (though i'm guessing there would be some licensing issues). Anything but the Reebok disaster.

It's just a shame that Giteau's last outing in green and gold was behind a pack of softcocks.

Deans just said on the Rugby Club that Horne, Slipper, Tatafu and Mitchell will all play against Canada, possibly Barnes aswell (can't remember). Also said they'll hold Palu back a bit.

Would it not make sense for Fox to put a basic version on their pay per view channel and charge $15? Surely 5-10,000 would pay. Rupert makes enough to pay a lawyer for a day and everyone's happy.
