This Pedro dude is clearly on some pretty wacky gear. I thought the ISA thread was largely engaged in some decent debate and commentary until this bloke lobbed in and started ranting on about SA and NZ schools??? - hope we can get back to discussing the ISA comp as we are only a week away from getting into the "real deal" games.

how does Canberra grammar go aginst St edmunds? I ask this because Auggies played Eddies earlier in the year and put plenty on them

I just heard Newington beat Kings 19-7, bringing this up because it puts some perspective to last week's Kinross' 29-29 draw with Newington. Got a feeling something is brewing with this mob in Orange. Also heard Pats got smashed by Riverview. Not sure the scores but by more than 50 or so.

Auggies by 50+. The difference between teams like Auggies and the ACT teams is huge. Eddies, Marist, Grammar who ever, it wouldnt matter they would all get pumped. None of them offer 'incentives' or try to lure a team of polynesians any more. They all just play with the cattle they have got. They are less competitve against the Sydney schools but it has leveled out the playing field in the ACT and the comp is very even.

On a side note, watched St Gregs play Joeys 3rds this arvo. Gregs had five or six out and only went down by a few tries. Expect them to cause some headaches this year for more fancied opposition. Wont win the comp or anything but will give plenty of headaches as mentioned.

Hey Crofty, I wouldn't be so hasty dismissing what this guy is saying -- I am sure SONY would be interested in developing a PC game based on his idea.......

Crofty, I am sure you believe, all GPS teams will prove selectors wrong by playing and loosing to Auggies, and plead for selectors to rightfully award most N.S.W. and Australian jerseys to ISA players. No need to exhibit Aggies, Oakhill and St Pats beating/competing against top NZ teams, who will play ISA teams, as NZ teams can't loose a N.S.W jersey.
Does anyone deny, ISA getting their deserved share of N.S.W. and Australian jerseys, will develop ISA further and all ISA players will benefit with the skills/experience base filtering down all our school's ranks.

Hey Pedro, don't disagree with your final para but not too sure about your first (couldn't quite distinguish the point you were trying to make).
With Pappa coaching NSW and Auggies performing so well their is a pretty fair chance a few of the ISA lads will make the NSW sides.
A question for the thread: I noticed Natoli (Auggies #9) playing Toyota Cup today for the Sea Eagles against the Chooks. Would appear to be a pretty clear indication of where he sees his future. Should this preclude him from representative rugby honours this season?

Maybe Oakhill will struggle against Kinross in round two of the Waratah Shield ?
Stannies 0 Kings 55 last week. Stannies without seven of their regular players. Top Stannies players can't be too bad, one from last years 16s played for Riverview 2nds last week and hopes to move up soon.
Stannies line-up this weekend
1 Harrison Thorpe
2 Jack Gell-Nogeuira
3 Nicholas Guise
4 Tom Johnston
5 Scott Smith
6 Connor Burke
7 Greg O'Shannessy
8 Rory Stonestreet
9 Will Mortimer
10 Jack grant
11 Adrian Vincze
12 Luke Petrie
13 Weiu Got (Sudenese)
14 Jake Ferguson
15 Mitchell Green
Some of Stannies top players will be back soon.

Hey Crofty, that's good news about the ISA reps promising to make NSW sides.;)
My 1st parra, I recon there is no choice but for Auggies and Oakhill to take on a couple of NZ teams, doen't have to be expensive, but will show selectors ISA can mix it with the best, even if GPS sides will not play against to avoid loosing to St Augustines.

Hey Crofty, if we don't put these players up against top rugby union teams this is what is already happening, less of them get NSW jerseys and they go off playing close to the top level league on Sunday anyway. Is Natoli on a league contract yet ? If he is he would have to go off to their development days and Auggies would be well aware, and then he should not be in their 1st XV let alone rep. When Auggies start playing top NZ teams, they will get NZ TV coverage and more exposure to union developers.

Yeah I agree with ILMF, let's put it in perspective, we are talking about a School team. A good proportion of them are sitting the HSC this year, so they have other priorities besides Rugby.
they are not the Harlem Globetrotters.
Hey Watch, Sydney Boys High is an academically selective school, they leave Friday morning 1st June bus to Armidale to play rugby against The Armidale School and return to Sydney Sunday afternoon. They too, are a school team with a good proportion of them sitting the HSC this year, with priorities besides Rugby.
Are you claiming my suggestion of St Augustine and Oakhill players not in class for 1 period after lunch on a Monday to prepare to play a visiting NZ team is beyond the academic capability of these two ISA school kids ? How does sending a bus to pick up a NZ team to bring them to your grounds for 3:30 pm match make kids globe totters ?
I also suggested flying to NZ for a Saturday and Sunday or Monday game. These kids would miss a little school Monday, but with smartboard and computer/ internet hookups which are readily available in schools today, kids connect with their classroom teachers, which is important. The return ticket is around $300 and NZealand schools would return the favour by putting you up at a hostel.
Hurlstone Agricultural High School have a whole block with all amenities including a dining hall they will rent out to you, holds about 30 kids, if you want to keep them all together, but it works out cheaper and closer to have them at a backpackers. I am talking about the visiting NZ teams.

Hi Crofty, this kid attends St Augustines' College, he plays for the school in the ISA therefore he is eligible for rep honours. I don't think you can or should preclude him. I see what you are trying to say. What he does on his sundays is his business. No differnt to a kid who plays baseball or has to attend rowing camp during winter or plays rep touch footy on a sunday. But I think the crux of the issue is, what is the ARU or the NSW RU or the S15 organisations doing about kids coming thru the system after they leave school ? We keep complaining about Australia lacking depth and we have this funnelling system called the Aust Schoolboy reps but why do they keep slipping thru the nets ? Anyhow, this probably deserves another thread - I am sure many will have emotional outbursts to share.
