Bronson is playing 2, 6 or 8 for BBC. Will Russell (IGS) played U15 QLD Metro and is No 1 or No 3 at IGS First XV on rotation I believe.
Harley Fox (Eddies) plays 4-7 and would be worth looking at. Joe Jenkins No 11 (Terrace) is player with promise, yet another contender.
So may talented men so few positions. It will be a chook raffle in the end as to who gets what!

I thought there were going to be two u16 Queensland teams (red and white) as per previous years. If that is correct there should be enough places to fit the talent in.

Anyone heard of Mack Mason? He was reserve No10 for Qld U16's last year so surely he should rate a mention this year. Been injured this year but back to full fitness. Dont write the Downlands kids off, like it or not they drew with BSHS and beat Nudgee and BGS so far this year. This is with Mason, Tittor, Moloney, Clewley, Vagg, Chong Nee in the Firsts. Just sayin, there is life outside GPS Schools.

BGS beat Downlands.

A thing to remember, Downlands never verse full strength GPS firsts sides as GPS schools only use these games as trials and won't risk their good players in case of injury which may result in players missing out on the real competition games against their GPS competitors. So when Downlands say they beat sides it's more often than not a very second strength side that they are playing. The only full strength side they play in a season is Toowoomba Grammar on Grammar/Downlands day.

Swarley, BGS beat Downlands in the firsts but lost every other A game. This is a forum about U16's. Downlands are undefeated in U16 games this year. Say what you like, they can only beat who is put on the field. How did Australia go against Scotland this year, that was a "Test Match". If sides want to put second rate sides on the field and still call them A teams, then they get what they deserve.

If someone has a genuine injury then yes, rest them. Otherwise eight games of rugby a season isnt a real lot.

there were 4 15 year olds who played in the victorious Queensland Red side at the championships last year. Mack Mason was outstanding, Jayden Rodwell also good performer and Junior Taefu and Alex Mafi solid players. All definate possibilities for the 2012 Qld Red side barring injury. 4 15 year olds in the Qld White side last year also. Should make for a good solid Queensland team with the experience of eight players, if all performing at their best, will need it with NSW teams already naming there train on sides.

Will Burke of ashgrove should definetly be in the starting line up. The lad is a hard worker (lol) who benches from the colours though to the As. Don't be surprised if selectors pick Burky!

I'm not too sure about the age group in Brisbane, but from down here 6/7/8. Joel Brown, 11/14. Isaac Nathan and 12/13. Freddy Dorrough would have to be in contention. THPs Brandon Kay and Josh Evans are also very good but I am unsure about their age eligibility.

No-one would have heard of him but Matt Burke from Scots College in Warwick. Blind side flanker, will mess some more fancied rivals up.

adrian aiden from st peters would get a look in, pretty much a utility back as hes got the skill and speed to burn if he needs too. Lachlan lewis from iona would also have a shot at at 10 is mack mason is out? very smart player and can run himself if he needs to watch these two boys.

Globetrotter, you appear to know alot about the southport boys, wondering if you have heard the name Ryan Menzies? Not saying he is in contention for QLD 16s honours but have watched him play all week in the Barry Honan and have been very impressed. runs hard, tough as and makes all his tackles

Unfortunately I haven't seen too much of him and I can't match faces to names in that age group, but I did watch him play a couple of cricket matches for TSS and so I think I may have recognised him playing one match. From that one assessment I'm not in a position to say too much, but I agree that he was solid in defense and I was very impressed with his acceleration/hard running. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think he has been playing on the wing? From that one game I saw, I would be inclined to play him at 13 for the 16A's. Particularly considering the strength of Neal, Nathan (already playing 1's) for next year. Thoughts?

The TSS teams at the Gold Coast Barry Honan competition were all B's & C's players. A teams (squads of 20) were on tour in 15's, 16's & Opens.
The players competing are all unlikely to play in the A's.

Kris Larosa #12 for GT 1st XV is definitely in contention if any of you saw him play NC on the weekend you would see why, great defence controlled Jack Tuttle who is arguably the best player in GPS
