Chiefs need to get out of their own half from this scrum. 3 points in it 2 minutes to go.

Bit of a stop in play for an injury. Chance for the captains to have a bit of a talk and inspire the troops.

Saders have had overlaps on the right wing a couple of times but been to slow to move it out. Same happened again as they took it into contact.

Saders have worked to within 25 meters. Carter is in the pocket for a DG attempt.

All the way back in their own half now. 20 odds phases and they knock on. Chiefs in the final 20-17.

Too much fucking about from the Saders. Needed to get that droppy lined up and take it. Chiefs deserved their win.

Great game Chiefs did well to hang on. That double movement try was a big difference on the scoreboard, but who's to say they wouldn't have scored from another opportunity if it wasn't awarded. They kept the Saders out in the end and dug deep to drive them back and cause the error.

Saders wouldn't have deserved but they're such a great team, even playing badly they dragged themselves back into it just before half time and chipped away in the 2nd half to give themselves a chance. One of the best, if not THE best game of the season.

Agreed. It was tense as all hell... and I didn't even care who won! (Well, apart from tipping the Saders...)

yep I was happy for whoever won game, felt the Chiefs certainly deserved it tonight, you can see Wayne Smith having influence in their defence. To be honest I think Shag Hansen maybe a little happy, probably more ABs in Saders, and some of them can have a bit of a break.

What a scrappy game, a brilliant first half and a scrappy second. Far too many errors from the Crusaders. Can't say I'm gonna miss them though, all the infringements they've been getting away with have finally come back to bite them. Won't miss Andy Ellis whinging to the ref every second ruck or deliberately dropping the ball on advantages. Quite frankly, like I've mentioned before, Carter has not been in form at all this year. People have wrongfully said he's improved at the back end but he's simply gone from poor to average, he hasn't been the best 10 in NZ. I'd still bench Carter for the AB's and make him earn it back. Same goes for Dagg.

Well done to the Chiefs. It wasn't pretty but they certainly manned up on the night. Go the Sharks :)

So are the NZ public going to start hating on Tameifuna and co. for the cheap shots on McCaw!??

It was so obvious from the start that part of their game plan was to disrupt McCaw by niggling him.
