Settle petal, I forgot about Mafi. He was good.
Its just frustrating how some people talk about the force. And i know you a force guy so not having a go at you but people dont treat some of the force boys the way they should be just because of the way the team went eg cummins great all year not given the time of day by most gets a go as last man standing and people now start to pay attention.

When was the last time JOC (James O'Connor) played 15?

I remember he started there for a while in tests, then got destroyed in a Bledisloe and moved. He's older now though, so would be able to handle it better.

I think the idea of Beale and JOC (James O'Connor) rotating between 10 and 15 is awesome. With two players that talented you could have a really innovative attack.

Yep it would help if the Rebels played them there to begin with, they could form a long-term combination together.

I wouldn't mind seeing JOC (James O'Connor) play at fullback. His counter attack could be devastating from there. I still think he's best suited as a 12, but realistically he can play just about anywhere. We could really use him in the team right now.

I'd just like to see him play one position for an extended period of time, at both Super and international level.

I have only brought up McCabe because people are suggesting we need Harris for goal kicking. I think Harris is a liability at 15 and not fast enough for wing but that he isn't far behind McCabe at 12. If we absolutely need his kicking then why can't we discuss the possibility of dropping or moving the 'solid' McCabe without being accused of having a 'red agenda'?

Harris is there because he can kick goals, and more inportantly there are nearly half a dozen players ahead of him in the pecking order out injured.

So I think it's a tad silly to talk about him replacing one of the two first choice backs that we still have on the field.

Can someone upload, or post a link to an existing video, of Hoopers run off the Argie lineout in the second half?

Haven't been able to find a video of this.

Harris is an inside centre at test level and not a fullback or fly-half.... If he is there to kick goals he has to play 12, RD needs to weigh up whether McCabe is contributing enough in attack and defence to offset the difference of Harris goal kicking.

If RD is happy with Beale as kicker then Harris goes to the bench, if he thinks Harris kicking is essential, then he needs to look at moving or benching McCabe.

It would probably be one of the biggest selection brainfarts in Deans' history if he was to yank one of the few first choice players he has left in the team, who is a vice captain, and probably one of the few backline players to have played at a consistently good level all year........

And then substitute him for a squad outsider whose place in the team has come at the expense of a long list of others, who doesn't offer anything more in attack or defence, going into a test match against the All Blacks when his coaching position is on the line.......

Yeah, I don't see it happening.........

Wow I thought there was some McCabe block disease going around until you posted that!

This is the last ill say in McCabe, because I actually like him, but that is mainly to do with his spirit not his ability.

If we are truly in a period where McCabe is one of the first picked wallabies after playing in the team for little over 12 months and generally being no more than solid, then I think that is an strong reflection of how poor we truly are. If he is undroppable then it is an inditement on Deans' coaching and selections. It appears he is the Reuben Thorne of this team.

I doubt he would be more than third or forth choice 12 for the kiwis yet some think he is undroppable for the wallabies. Really?

I hope you go out of your way to be this disingenuous when it comes to McCabe and that it's a result of some bias rather than an honest attempt at an impartial evaluation.

McCabe is an early choice because unlike everyone else in the backline, he can cross the friggen advantage line. And after 10 odd years of fucking around with 12s that can't (Giteau / Barnes) those of that see some value in that would like to see it continue.
