To'omua is exclusively a 10. I can't see him playing anywhere else, and those in Qld could correct me, I don't think he played in other positions at school.

Look at the debacle with the 2011 season and the ill fated 'tri half' system where he, Lealiifano and Giteau all had a turn at playmaker during the match, with each of them wearing 10,12 and 15.

Yeah I watched him play a lot of schoolboy rugby and never saw him play anywhere but 10.

To'omua, for mine is a natural ten and not really anything else, Lealiifano is a talent and can play 10, 12 or 15 .. From what I've heard Larkham liked To'omua 10 Lealiifano 12 as his combination even before McCabe got injuried, so I will trust he knows his stuff.

Christ. Poor guy, he was impressive once his bricks turned into hands. I hope he still feels up to it next year.

Maybe Colby could try his hand at Blindside? He can take at the lineout and is strong.

Colby played 6 in the Under 20s world cup with Hooper at 7. Both were awesome. I've also heard that Colby is one of the hardest hitters in defence so I don't have any qualms if he is selected at 6.

While I agree with Mogg being MOTM, in the backs White, To'omua and Rathbone all performed. But it was the the props, locks, 7 and 8 who really lead the way.

Mogg took a couple of chances well - but was not tested at all in defence and knocked one on with no-one in front that was tough but he probably should have caught.

White, Speight, Mowen, Pocock and Gill were all very good. Honourable mention to AWH, Tapuai, the Brumbies scrum and Cooper who did a couple of really nice things - just was not given enough opportunities. Rathbone looked like he had never been away which was a highlight of the night.

Bar the goalkicking, I thought Lilo looked good in his return game. He looked fairly good with ball in hand, but it was his defense and overall workrate that impressed me. I thought with the horrific injury he had last year that he might go backwards, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

His stats for the match: 13 carries for 84m's gained(most in the team), 11 tackles(2nd most in the team), 12 rucks/mauls hit(most in the team/game).

Will Mogg get a Wallaby look in?

I like Mogg, don't really see him as a Wallaby, mind you I would pick him ahead of Harris, who I wouldn't ever pick as an international.

Good start to the season from Brumbies, certainly room for improvement as the season goes. Mowen interviewed after the match gave the team a pass mark, which I think is about right. Brumbies were by far the most positive team on the night and were able to get over the advantage line conistently and were always looking to promote the ball to support players. With a bit more quick ball, I think they could have stepped it up a bit further. I thought the referee did a poor job at the breakdown and at scrum time. Very inconistent. Reds were repeatedly warned for slowing it down and then in 2nd half Nic White was penalised more not rolling away when he appeared to spring out of the way like an olympic gymnast. Pocock rightly looked incredulous as he had gained a turnover.

I have to ask one of the knowledgable brumbies fans here, was kimlin sick during the week? Or something like that? He didn't look as fit as the rest and had some bad impacts, I'm hoping its just a one off, as I would love to see him return to the form that made him a wallaby.

I heard nothing of it, I'm thinking it was just an off game for him.
