Narbethong, Vic. Beautiful spot which was devastated by the Black Saturday Fires. Great area for camping on an Easter weekend

Nowhere Else - There is nowhere else like Nowhere Else (Tas 7306). 20 minutes from Devonport, Nowhere Else has no pub, no council, not even a general store. The general store is nearby but it’s not in Nowhere Else, cos its somewhere else.

(been waiting for a N for a while - Thanx Braveheart81)

EDIT: AND I GET BEATEN. Nowhere Else is Withdrawn to be used at a future time. Damn!!!

Summary so far (may be an error or two in the count)
A = 35, N = 27, Y & E = 18, H = 16, G & R = 10, K = 9, O = 9, T = 8, I = 7, L = 5, S = 4, W = 3, D & B & M = 2, C & P & U = 1. Yet to trouble the Scorer are F, J, Q, V, X and Z.

Let's get working on some of the lower numbers in the count: S, W, B, C, D, M, F, and P.

Double points for the town or suburb that leads to a Jindabyne, Jimcumbilly, or Jilliby, Quakers Hill, or Queanbeyan, Vincentia or Victoria, or a Zeehan entry.

Note: Penriff won't count towards an F starter, but Cardiff would.

I used to play a similar game to pass time on car trips where you had to name countries or capital cities and it soon became apparent that many places end in A.

Eventually we worked out that the game was better if you used the third last letter to choose the next starting letter as it provided a lot more variety.

Not saying that we should change the rules now, but using the last letter does make it incredibly hard to get to many starting letters.

Grantham - This small Lockyer Valley town was nearly wiped out after being hit by an "inland tsunami" in the 2011 QLD floods. Tragically some lives were lost and the whole town may be moved to a nearby location on higher ground.

Thanks for the nice pass Baldric, right on the chest.

Gulgong, NSW - a small town near Mudgee that has its annual picnic race day on the June long weekend.

It's a cracker of a day!

Charlie Fox (21)
Greenwell Point-
Oysters, cows and absolutely not one person who has ever done anything famous in their lives. The locals are gladly waiting for armageddon, so as they will have something to talk about.

Not true. Jim Wild, while not native to Greenwell Point, is a well known oyster farmer there, who was World Champion Oyster Shucker at one time. I know this first hand. Bloody strong hands too!

Orbost, in Gippsland. Pretty, dairy country.

The town clostest to where the Snowy River meets the sea (Marlo isn't a real town!). Also lots of logging around there.

Tea Gardens, NSW. Near the Myall Lakes. Not really famous for much that I know of except it is next to Hawks Nest where John Howard used to go for his holidays.
